According to the manuals for our 41 (G-JMAC), they were built at Prestwick by Jetstream Aircraft Ltd – A BAe Company.
Was the same true of the 31’s ?
Slighty OT, before dismissing cgi, take a look at http://www.405themovie.com/
And Moggy – I’ll watch just about anything with Vicki Butler-Henderson in it 🙂
Many thanks Greg – Will order that today 🙂
For NickB – don’t suppose you could give us a canned version of the story?
That book seems to be quite unavailable 😡
Cheers,
Roy.
Thanks for that Nick – I’ll have to hunt a copy down.
No idea which ship this is, what happened, or if there were any fatalities.
These are just a few of the (many) Sea Hawk pics I’ve collected over the last few years.
The tail letter ‘C’ denotes Bulwark iirc.
Errr…. suggest you count those hawks again :p
Hi Elliott, I believe DT only paid about 50 quid for it!
Sold it to me for a LOT more than that – swine.
If you have pics I would love to see them.
Cheers,
Roy.
The Prince is beginning to look really sorry for itself. I know Terry has been trying to find ways of restoring her and really hope he is successful.

Caernarfon?
I was down at Caernarfon early this year (to drool over their Sea Hawk) and saw no Anson there.
Caernarfon has a few nice toys but this place is too out of the way imho and must struggle to keep going. Someone has obviously spent a lot of time setting up some of the exhibits but it looks like the place hasn’t been touched in 20 years.
As the last aero museum in Wales – I really hope they continue on.
Sadly, the new owners of Maes Artro are developing the site. Other aviation items like the replica spitfire have already gone.
As for price – he’s open to offers. I prodded gently but he wouldn’t give any clues.
I think their Westland Whirlwind is also up for grabs but have have already gone.
Yes, the site is a bit out of date. I’ll try and get that taken care of shortly.
In the meantime I’ve been busy scanning in a bunch of original sea hawk photo’s to pop on the site in addition to part of a Vol.6 which is coming in very handy – fascinating reading.
I’ve also found a few more parts for the cockpit interior so enthusiasm is boosted again!
Back to the original point of this thread, here is one of my current projects.
I’m always looking for parts *hint*
Roy.
Sea Hawk Cockpits
However, if you have sea hawk cockpit parts, I need them!
Thanks,
Roy.
