So far seems aerodynamically sound :eagerness:, but isn’t that vortex looks too small/weak to do the necessary energising job of that big wing !?

Wait till it reaches ZhuHai which is a lot more humid and warm than ShenYang

Actually, it’s quite likely China will do one to one replacement (number wise). China only need to keep the current rate of 4th gen fighter production for anther 10 years, then they can comfortablely phase out most if not all j7+j8. This is just an observation from PLAAF’s action on actively keeping those j7+j8 regiments while restructuring their organisation. My impression is that for the moment they want to keep their orbat size instead of keep on downsizing.

I always thought Japan, India and Korea do have some common technical and geopolitical requirements on developing a new stealth fighter plane. But in reality, why it’s so hard for them to co-operate?

guys, let’s agree that everyone is happy that India is happy with Mig21.

Now let’s get back to Japan’s new aircraft. If we really want to bring India into this thread, can we please focus on how India and Japan can co-operate on developing a new stealth fighter plane.

I hope so, but are there already flowrers at CAC ??? … and besides that the EOTS is not as yellow as seen before … to admit I’m not sure if again someone had too much time and played around with ps !?

ChengDu’s weather can be very tricky:)
