    Not everything will be ‘dangling from a ceiling’ I believe and this includes the Harrier. The idea is to open up much more space for the WWI galleries and to get the large objects in a better display position. Having a Harrier on display from a current conflict will really help bring the museum ‘up to date’

    Great pictures by the way. It will be interesting to see what the IWM will do with restoring the Harrier.

    Oh good! They should at least get the Camel down where it can be properly looked after. Maybe the Mustang should move to Duxford, given that it’s painted in 78th markings…

    According to a press release sent out by the IWM yesterday, the Harrier GR9 is destined, after restoration, for the atrium of the main building in London when it re-opens in 2014

    Nice pics. Do you know if it will go straight on display or will go to H5 for concevation or restoration?

    They should put her straight on display, in a nice ‘used’ condition
