So if there were 280 attendees, and only Merlin 70 and darrenharbar have published pics so far, where are the other 278 photo offerings?
Already posted some of mine that evening. If missed try these links.
Brian.

Spotted my self in your last Spitfire photo of your first post. I am standing at the back in the brown jacket. Funnily enough I have a photo taken at the same time of someone on top of the ladders wearing a blue jacket. Was that you?.

If the advert in Aeroplane had been read closely, it quite clearly states under the heading of ‘ALSO INCLUDED IN THE DAY:’ is – Flightline walk and bags of photo opportunities[U]… !!!

Thoroughly enjoyed last years visit, having upped my quota of close up reference photos, and was umming and arrrring about the £75 tag this year but forked out any way. For unrestricted access to a lot of Spitfires and others, that you could not normally get close up to, I though it was a small price to pay.
I just hope some of it is spent on food this year as I ended up in the Runway Restaurant last year to stop my stomach complaining. It does say in the current advert in Aeroplane that there is: Coronation chicken, honey-glazed ham, salads, hot potatoes, bread, profiteroles, lemon meringue and tea and coffee served all day. I hope it is more than bite size portions.
Did anyone get a vehicle entry pass, like the A5 yellow one last year, or does the cardboard ‘ADMIT ONE’ badge act as that?.
Brian
He must be stood on a box in that pic…. I think it was Hoof who named him “Shetland Pilot”
Chair actually.

My favourite is the Lightnings and from one aviation artist to another they are really, really good. How I envy colour artists.
I worked for a firm of Architects when I left school and was trained in the use of pen and ink, which is why my main output is scale drawings. I have tried to draw and paint in colour and have failed miserably. Instead I do picture drawings in pen and ink. I do a form of cross hatching by drawing lines very close together at different angles, the more lines the darker the area. Using soft and hard erasers, I get the tonal effects. The attached Pitts drawing (they are taken from photographs and are not scanned) from start to finish took 10 day or 42hrs 55min.

Instead of dreaming we could always start a ‘Wish List’ of planes that are currently in a flying condition.

Barrage balloon tie down?
The photos were taken in 1994 and I believe it was disposed of a few years ago and therefore technically ‘Scrapped’.
