    B26

Back in 1961 when I went to G Howards Yard at Warrington the B26 cockpit was in fair good condition .

The pilots side control colum , seats rudder peadels , engine pedestal and engine switch panel was there .

I cut off the landing gear and wing flap control levers of the pedestal because I didn`t know how to take it off , because at the time ….. I was 11 years old .

I also got the switch panel and control colum , they are all the items I still have.

On the cockpit side there was yellow mission tallys , there was alot of other fusealarages under the scrap heap .

The B17 cockpit which was away from the scrapheap was badly corroded but had both control colums present .

The ball turret was on railyway sleepers next to the yard fence .

I went back there again in 1972 and got more aircraft parts witch I will mention later if your all interrested .
