Really good shots…
I love how clean the TOM looks and most of the other a/c until you get up close and see all the dirt and scuff marks on the hold doors, especially the 73’s!
It would be nice to see another airline at LBA other than the normal red and silver things moving about!
I am think hydraulic leak on hots brakes….lots of smoke, then fire…
Apart from the fire part, i have seen hydrolic flid drop on hot breaks and cause a hell of a lot of smoke. Maybe the hydrilics broke on a heavy landing to cause the leak if there was a leakage.
I would also film it if im honnest!
And as for the guy picking up his papers, you have to think what would happen if those papers blew into another engine some where along the airfield??
I wonder what caused it?
Paul
Maybe very hot breaks?
Really good shots there!
I tell you what is rare and you will never see… and that is a jet2 at LBA. Ive never seen them there :diablo:
Aircraft came on stand with a fuel leak! Same aircraft and same leak as saturday night. All operations stop and fire service assess the situation.
As the same as saturday night the aircraft cant take as much fuel on as required to go to ISB so they have to stop in DXB.
The flight left at about 1210 Tuesday morning.
Consist of:
Baggage loading / off loading
Baggage stacking in the halls
Push back
Head sets
Airstarts
GPU
De-icing
Coach driving
Aircraft Towing
Passenger Steps
Chocking
Cones
Handling Bins/Containers
Marshalling
Air bridges
Well they divert 50% of the time.
You got the figures that show 50% of flights divert to MAN?
Wouldnt suprise if the LBA route was axed.
Are you for real? IF they was going to axe it why would they be starting up a mondaynight run to ISB?
:rolleyes::confused:
Oh, I prefer this even bolder version of the Air Asia livery myself….. π
Oh dear! Now if it was Leeds utd i would agree. :p
Very nice pic, I cant help notice the wing tip with the Union Jack!
Really good shots, love the landing 75 and departure from the rear of XP!
Tom can i call them my KL, FR and Tcx?
Taken from the LBA website…
“John Parkin continues βTodayβs announcement by bmi mainline does not affect the bmi regional base at Leeds Bradford which currently offers 46 flights a week to Brussels, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Plans to expand bmi regional with new routes from LBIA are well advanced and continuing.β “
Just hanging onto the last sentence there!
I think a lot are people are waiting for flybe to make a move at LBA, and Ryanair at that aswell!
Awful news for the airport and also the guys/girls who work for the handling agent who will feel the effect!
I just hope flybe do make a move aor another carrier such as Aer Lingus do from LGW:(
AFAIK all KLC F100’s are been retired apart from 4 i think!
LBA from the 1st MArch is becoming a F70 Base until the ERJ’s come in!
