Another question is how many navies could have done it, and while on the way to the Falklands could change a gear box on one of the carriers while it was at sea, if i remember correctly.

I have to disgree with you, yes those screenshots show lovely pre rendered models of air craft, but to say there is a lot of wasted talent is wrong.

I can with enough time slap together a scene like that in 3DMax, the planes are static models, there is no flight physics to them, no moving parts etc

Flight sims are few and far between as they take a lot of programming not from the graphic point of view but from teh physics which people demand they have.

You have DDR ram now. All P4’s apart from the very first ones used Rambus that is still about but VERY rare now.

The sticker saying 133Mhz is correct. The speed of a computer is determined by the clock multipler in the processor (CPU) and the front side bus (FSB)

AMD double the FSB on most systems this is to increase performance by executing commands one the rise and fall of the CPU clock. However Intel “quad-pump” the FSB.

That is why when you look at P4 chips on websites they will say somthing like “Intel Pentium 4 2.6Ghz (533Mhz FSB) or (800Mhz FSB)

So going with that theroy of the FSB is you multiply 133Mhz by 4 you end up with 532Mhz which the computer smooths out to 533Mhz

So to upgrade the RAM all you need to buy is a stick of RAM that is rated for PC2700 for a 533Mhz FSB

    Hope that helps

He might be high, but then again he isnt even lined up to land on the carrier.

He is going to fly acroos it from side to side not along its length.

Great shots Nikumba, love the Zoom 767, did you fly Zoom ?

Yes and i have to say I was very impressed, £350 rtn included insurance and upgrade to top class cabin. THe main reason for the upgrade was the extra leg room.

I flew on a 767-300ER both ways they dony have PTV’s and in interior is an old one since they still had the TV’s in the asiles but didnt use those as they had a plasma at the front and two smaller LCDs on the sides.

The food was very nice and tasty the flight over was realitvly smooth only a bit of turbulance, on the way back was a whole nother matter met another jet stream as we crossed under greenlan the plane was bouncing all over the shop so much they stopped serving dinner 🙁

It was also the first time i have seen a female captain, i think she was being certified or something as there was a male capatin and a male first office so who knows.

I’ve looked at the settings you posted for the game on your system, mine are the same and I’m only using an AMD Athlon 2000+ CPU (~1.7GHz). 🙂

I feel sorry for you having a 5900 Ultra, id like to see the reviews where the 5900 beats teh ATI.

I will accept they wont be much in it, but if Lo-Mac was a DX 9 game and not a DX 8 youd be lucky to get dual figure frame rates.

PC2700 is DDR all ram is DDR now about from some RIMM stuff.

It is a Radeon 9800 Pro 256Mb the advantage with the Radeons over the nVidia range and the budget range of ATI cards is it has a 256 bit memmory interface most cards have a 128 bit memmory interface so the 9800’s can shut more data over the memmory bus thatn the other cards.

You should seem Doom 3 🙂
