RE: Waddington Airshow

The tornado, had brake problems on landing, and had to use the emergancy arrestor system butilt into the runway after that it breaks sizied at the end of the runway and had to be cleared before the programmme could be resumed, however the helos and STOl aircraft could continue flying.

Did anyone else see the C-130 taking off with the wind? Not many A/C can do that or like to that from what I was told.

I will have to get my pics developed and scanned in.

Being my first airshow in about 13 years, it was intersting for me, I didnt really appricate the amount of noise the jets throw out, I was also suprised at how close the fast jets got to the crowd line, but Im not complaning it was good fun.

I have to say the Merlin HC.3 was probally one of the best displays there. I would like to have seen some more of the RAF inventory but have to accept most were probally on operations abroad or something.

I dont see why just becasuse the French strike it should shut down all of the air traffic in Europe.

There are other assests avalible to contact air traffic in Europe, namely the E3-C Sentries (AWACS) these have the radar and personell to do it my opinion, Im suprised this idea has not been tried, as if they can run an air war from one of them they can run European air space from one or two of them.

T3 is being made at the moment I think it is now in post preduction with a Christmas release I would expect, it looks VERY good, Arnie is in it again, as far as I know it will be called T3 : Rise Of The Machines.

Jordan is a maybe but Sarah Michelle Gellar, how can you say she shouldnt be in it?? She is damn nice, in Buffy.

Holly Valance is also nice, especially in the video for her current single in the UK.

You beat me to it andrew, AW did have an aritcle on it, from what I remeber it was a good one.

It is possible Manston will become Londons 3rd airport pure becasue it has good road/rail links, and has a HUGE runway that will handle the A380 easily.

Also with regards to the “Union Jack” being on A/C and saying we should be proud of it I completelly agree. But please call the flag by its proper name of “Union Flag” it is only ever called “Union Jack” when it is flying on a sea going vessel.
