I dont think it is peterborough. For one is top left is thorpe wood, where is the golf course and it is a lot more built up, you would also be able to see the slip raods to get to the cop shop and the hostpital.

Try the following:

1) Unistall both the Catalyst Driver and its Control Panel

2) Goto http://www.microsoft.com/directx and downloand DirectX 9.0

3) Install DirectX 9 and reboot your PC. Depending on which OS you use for games eg 98 or XP you will have to install DirectX on both of them or only one of them

4) As you mentions there is a generic Catalyist Driver from ATi or the one from your board manfacture. There are two schools of thought on which to use. As a rule ATI will release the new drivers before a 3rd party company. Most ATI based cards will run find on the ATI drivers, but some companies such as Gainwood, Hercules build extra features into their cards such as temp monitoring, fan speed, voltage use etc, using a reference driver would disable this functions. It would not do any harm to your card you just would not be able to use these features. Whereas using the driver made for your card you should be able to use those features if your card has them.

In my opinion unless you are a computer nut concerned with the heat in your case, or overclocking your card then you need the fuctions of the drivers, however as you seem to just use it for games etc the reference drivers should be fine.

The drivers can be found at http://mirror.ati.com/support/drivers/powered.html you need to download the Catalyst Driver AND the Catalyst control panel. Install the drivers and reboot followed by the control panel then reboot. You will have to do this for both OS if you use both for games.

5) Once that is done all should be well. If not come back and we will all try to help again.

Why should we demand an explanation of why posts were deleted? We should be greatful we get such an excellent forum with such high tolerances, granted this may not have shown in Flypast, but look at teh AFM forum, they have been threads in there that other forums would have deleted but have not been.

After all it is a Flypast forum run by Key Publishing and if they want to remove a thread it is there business. You dont go into a supermarket and find they have stopped doing a certain product and demand an explanation, or similarly with most consumer goods, i know so do want an explantation but a majority dont.

I suggest we stop badgering the webmaster, before its too late and we face the possbile closure of the forum.

Another way to look at it is Air France is a govenment owned airline. I dont know how much of Airbus is owned by the French govenment, but I imagine the French govenment could apply some very strong pressure on airbus on behalf of Air France

Long haul is the key, but to take advanatge of concorde or its succesors speed, you would have to go south off the coast of africa then curl round at the bottom and head in a straight line for Oz, then skirt round Oz to Sydney.

By the time that is done, it will probally cheaper to fly non-super sonic as you cant go SS over land.

So your saying then we can not blame the Air Force or the Navy pilot for bombing the convoy in Norther Iraq?? The convoy which was made up of Jeeps, requested air support to have a tank or tanks removed from up the road. I dont care if the pilot was tired/stressed or wahtever there is no way you can mistake a tank for a jeep.

Yes some of the FF incidents have been geninue mistakes, but there seems to be a large amount of them that are stupidity on the americans side.

I think it is good the UK forces are still in SE Iraq where they are from the US c0ckups

You can just build tanks and whoop ass. I can gaurantee if you came at me with 4 tanks and 20 soliders my 2 tanks would destroy you.

When we play MP games we dont play with special weapons or Level 5 General upgrades and it is VERY even balanced.

Perhaps we should meet up for a game one day?
