ROFL!!! Ah, ha, ha, ha, ha. “Pig” is right, that’s exactly what it is and what it would be to ANY modern fighter. Just a nice big slab of tasty bacon waiting for somebody to eat it. Hey, did you “simulate” this in MS flight simulator too? LOL!!!!
pig is the nick-name we gave the f111, but these fanboys think speed is everything, should take notice, 2.5m and nearly twice the speed of a rafale at low level
going by them the f111 has to be a better plane
did you open Koop’s link?
http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-NOTAM-081109-1.html
with the closing of the f-22 production, the only solution is UBER-PIG

Mr Secretary – Why Does the Pentagon Say the JSF is a 5th Generation Fighter . . Really?
http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-NOTAM-081109-1.html

😡
NOOOOO, your name isnt Kopp is it? :diablo:
thats SIR Kopp to you
with 5th gen sensors and weapons, it will even slapp a f-22

Don’t encourage them.
why not, uberpig is more 5th gen than a rarfale, it has internal carry for a start and about twice the LL speed
It’s the other way around, i am consistent with my argument that faster=better, regardless of nationality. I praise performance.
….
another f111 fan i see, it will slap most 4+ aircraft [ whats faster at low level ?
.”somehow magically end up with their pet project (an upgraded F-111)…”
even though i’m a f-35 fan, the sad thing is an uberpig would probably out class a few of the 4+ platforms that are raved about here. lets start up the f111 production line again ,,LOL,
look, i dont know why its so hard for you guys to understand
about 10 major airforces have or are going to choose the f-35 based on the obvious lies told by the usg that it will whipe the floor with any other plane (except f-22)
all these counties are wrong and only the french have a world beating plane and the only reason it hasnt sold is because the world hates the french
http://www.f-22raptor.com/news_view.php?nid=200&yr=2006
the AIM-120D will feature revised software, an improved datalink, greater kinematics, and an improved high-angle off-boresight (HOBS) capability.
there are lots of decent articles that explains it
http://www.google.com/search?q=aim+120+hobs&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7TSHN_en
i think i will bow out, when the ‘self proclaimed experts’ here dont even know what hobs is, it becomes posts of ‘missiles 101’ or one in the dummies series ‘missiles for dummies’
< Some other pple actually works as weapon specialists in the AdA and did desagree with him too, question of opinion.
this seems accepted
ir sensor
mica 3rd gen,
asraam, aim-9, iris 4th gen
python5 5th gen
< So the capability you quoted doesn’t exist just yet.
no, all aussie f-18ab have hms and link operational
<, The MICA firing test gives a 360X360* detection and cueing coverage, due to remote Link-16 targeting, the current HMS capabilties are way lower, this test firing was done with onboard sensors, not remote.
yes a link gives more coverage than a hms, they compliment each other and not replace either
< BTW, HMS is already been long tested on Rafale and since no systems offers real 360 capabilties today (as does the Link-16) it is not of an order of priority yet (though it is already available for export).
Next generation of HMS will respond for a requets for a much lower weight, our pilots are using the Max g.
sounds like your making an excuse
i didnt say it was for ‘all’ i know i was sloppy but, do i need to be exact to get a point across
they can say what they like till they get the ng sensor
perhaps a french site will have more credibility for you

faltenin said he works in the industry and has tested both, read some of his posts and make up your own mind
are you sure it isnt a 2 bar ?
i’ll go and read your link, it might have been a very recent upgrade
