i dont see the f-35 having a problem with their ‘active stealth/EW/EA/etc

The squadron, currently manned by 32 technicians and engineers, will grow to 130 personnel at full strength. The squadron will operate the $300 million United States Reprogramming Laboratory, which tests all aspects of the Joint Strike Fighter’s electronic warfare capability. Fifty percent of the total personnel will be Airmen, while the other half will consist of Navy and Marine personnel.

Electronic warfare is “any military action involving the use of electromagnetic and directed energy to control the electromagnetic spectrum or to attack the enemy,”

i know you will choke on every word but read up on what the yanks are doing

ok thanks, so its depending on funding
i guess it will hinge on export sales for increased funding

Although I think it’s great that people are critical I do have to admit that I have found some of Bills critisism to be too much. But I may be wrong — I don’t have much access to info.

i think he blurred the line between professional journalist and fanboy
i’m sure he will still post on the f-35, just not there for a while

    @Jackjack,
ECCM are measures taken by the radar to work in jamming conditions, hence that the radar uses algorithms/software or other techniques such as sidelobe surpression etc. in order make it more difficult for the enemy to jam the radar. ECCM doesn’t mean jamming other radars! It’s something entirely different.
ECCM = Electronic Counter Counter Measures
In other words measures taken to counter counter measures. Confusing isn’t it?;)

it doesnt help when just about everything is secret either and we only get told the minimum
ok, eccm isnt jamming as it isnt transmitted to the other radar
scratch the f-16 off the list, funny that they call the f-22 radar 3rd gen and the apg80 4th gen, but it doesnt use the array for jamming

sorry, your right i tend to go by aircraft name and not radar name
the f-16/80, so you dont think eccm comes under the jammer umbrella or that the 80 doesnt use eccm ?
the apg-63 is the apg-79 back end with a bigger array, so it can do what the apg-79 can do

true, not every aesa that has ever been made has it, i find it hard to accept that someone would choose not to have it in a new radar/jamming system
the f15 i said singapore and i’ll check that
so you accept uk plan what about griffin and f-16 ?

i dont know but i wouldnt be surprised if the usa f15 jamming pod will hook up to the aesa array as they seem to want it to stand in jam for the f-22
i know the ea18g uses the aesa array for jamming

i always google your claims, “i wouldnt trust you as far as i could throw you” our time on SP has taught me about your trustability, i’m still waiting for you to prove several of your claims

ok, so you accept the f22 f 35 and fa-18sh has jamming
the griffin and uk phoon aesa say jamming, you dont accept this ?
the f-16’s 80 in said next gen to f-22’s 77 and has eccm jamming, you dont accept this
i’ll check on singapore f15 aesa as that is what i said had it
i recall usa f15 are going with a pod for jamming, but thats the jammers problem not the aesa arrays fault
but so far 6 out of 7 isnt bad with the usa 30 yr old plane the odd one out,
now is rafale going to have aesa array jamming or am i wrong there and its 6 out of 8

so you want me to google the sing f-15 or dont you accept the above
and maybe the f16 phoon and griffen, i may have to google that for you too if you dont accept the above

awacs etc, the etc includes early warning systems
aussie early warning can act as airport air controlers and harbour masters for our neighbours

but enough to make anyone think twice about a low leval attack being an undetected suprise, especially when you add in the ‘etc’ to awacs etc
even vietnam has awacs up top
