This stealth demonstrator is planned at least since 2007 in an older official document. A&C just show that it’s not been dropped.

ok, there is a topic on airdefense about that, do you have the link to the official doc or does dassalut etc have an info release about it ?
i would like to have a read about it

ah my poor deluded friend, now about the super hornet
    http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/docs/990414-ART-Super-Hornet.htm
There will be no angle-of-attack restrictions for the symmetrically loaded E or F models. Spin characteristics are benign, with a simplified recovery compared with that of the C/D, and no sustained falling-leaf departure exists in any stores loading tested.

My last flight in the E/F was in aircraft E4, loaded with three 480-gallon tanks and 4 Mk 83 bombs, and with the center of gravity ballasted to the aft limit of 31.8 percent. In that configuration, the airplane maneuvered without restriction from -30 to +50 degrees AOA, performed zero airspeed tailslides and spins to 120 degrees per second of yaw rate, and unsuccessfully attempted to generate a stable falling-leaf departure. We’ve engineered out all the known departure modes for rolls up to 360 degrees.

The air combat maneuvering (ACM) flights have revealed that the airplane may still be maneuvered at speeds as low as 80 KCAS. This airplane will be quite comfortable in any type of a “phone booth” close-in dogfight.

lol.. that F/18 is nowhere near 55°AoA more somewhere in the thirties

I made a wuick screenshot, in blue, the AoA of the hornet, and in red the 55° angle:

even if the aoa may appear slightly flattened for you’re not perfectly seeing it from the side, it’s still obvous that it’s way under 55 aoa there

i just found out i was wrong
its actually 10 deg higher than my said 35 deg for roll aoa on the 18ac
here is the 2002 fcs upgrade of rolling at 45 deg, obviously the new straight flight aoa would be higher and probably above what is commonly said at 55 deg

its a shame your favorite plane is about 1/2 that

You are aware that the -9M can be slaved to the APG-77 right? In 2013, the F-22 will have the -9X and -120D as well.

no, he doesnt know how anything works and gets most things arseup
its one of his endearing qualities, the other is once you prove him wrong, he will drop it for a week and then repost it as if its for the first time

i think you should google the fa-18 sh and see what the aoa is

that is all i read, i know that it has a 55 deg aoa like the fa-18 which is twice the f-16 at 27 deg
it would be interesting to find out which one it is closer to, can you google it and let me know if there is more information

no, people are accused of trolling when the use 1997 of the f-22, as if its the same plane today
you dont think kkm deliberately googled negative links to present, without any attempt to see if they were valid ?

i’m a pleb too but from what i’ve read, stealth/ VLO rcs doesnt make you invisible, it just reduces the distance that you can be detected tracked and targeted, basically a radar or tactic that will find a 4th gen will find a 5th gen, it comes down to how effective and range it will do it at

fat stubby draggy POS with the agility of the f16 fa18 but with greater internal fuel range works for me

MBDA is indeed developing active cancellation for missile use since the mid 90″s and it is well documented

bills article on the other hand has a lot to answer for, in my opinion he got confused with the DRFM

lets just hope its not dated 1/4/10, the A&Cosmos article will have follow up reporting and statements from the developers presenting the facts of the situation, its goal may be to handle specific spikes in rcs, as its a big ask to do a whole frame
the nuron ucav would be a platform i’d like to see the tech on too

You’re just forgetting that our engineers are idiots. They draw saw tooth every where just for fun, make cartoonistic symbologies on the screens, design counter-intuitive cockpit layouts, pretend that a fine bomber is also a top-notch air-to-air fighter, etc…

So, never try, in addition, to imply that Spectra is “magic”.

i know france is one of the worlds leaders in submarine stealth/signal management
so only an idiot would call your engineers idiots
its good that info is publicly released about ‘active stealth’ development for the rafale, i look forward to reading the facts instead of just rumors that have been around and unproven

thats why i dont bother to post the counter, they wouldnt read it and just post their next troll topic
the info is in google if they want to know

its funny that if they did read, there is ample true things to bag usa planes about

Did you read the article by the Air Force Association that was in reponse, that rebutted those claims/criticisms?

trolls cant do that, it goes against their motives

“”You have to understand the difference between detection, and tracking(and there’s a huge difference). Detection alone doesn’t give you nearly enough information to guide a weapon.””

and a huge difference between tracking and targeting
