LOL so now you want 3000 external, can we include external on f-22
oh heck who has the biggest number of tankers, we might as well add a2a refueling

lets keep to internal and empty weight of plane, heck i wont even add armaments for you, there’s a gift to the typhoon
we cant add drag coefficients as no one knows them, but are we going to make bets on it

As mentioned by Sintra the higher fuel load tells you nothing. It’s the consumption in combination with the fuel fraction.

you’re not really going to say the typhoon matches the f111 and f22 on internal fuel range, are you ?

i think we agree the teens are aprox 50 and deltas are 30, this is in a strait line, rolling rates are less
after the x deg there is decreased performance and control
once you loose the wing lift, it gets nasty
are we on the same page ?
do we agree the cobra is airshow and a good way to die, i forget the air speed but its slow

i’d have to go back and reread i only had the post in short term memory, would you like me to find it ?
it doesnt need to be faster or they would be m3 by now, instead they are getting slower
an ea-18 fits into the ‘system’ of modern warfare and the ef111 doesnt
this is besides the fact that it isnt carrier certified and the usn is the bigger user and they didnt want them even when they were new, let alone starting the production line again as all the current f-111 have passed their useby date

I haven’t always agreed with COLA’s views, but on the subject of the F-111, I have to agree with him. The fact remains that they are old, maintenance intensive airframes which could be outfitted with state-of-the-art modular electronics to reduce some maintenance, they certainly have the room, but it’s more cost effective to replace them to save on all other maintenance costs. In terms of capability, I agree that they are unmatched to this day. One thng I disagree on, at LOW LEVEL, there is no other aircraft that can keep up with an F-111, not even EF or F-22.

thats true and again shows a typhoon cant go with a f111 or f22 or even a f-22 with a f-111 in this instance
but its also true, the f111 is finished and doesnt fit in with the ‘systems’ of modern warfare
it was a great plane in its time

ok so the teens are flying controlled at 50+ and deltas are post stall, washing speed and lousy control at 50
do you think this is tactically relevent or just a quicker way to die against hobs and hms
unless my plebness has the wrong end of the stick

arent you confusing flying a stalled state compared to non-stalled
stalled being when the airflow starts to depart the wing
fcs or soft does have a few deg tolerance, but only a few and not multiples of 10
ofcorse this is all subject to speed or the wings tear off
what are the f-18,22 doing in airshows i’m guessing your quotes or more

your link is long, which part do you want to point out

LOL, like its classified…but I understand. One need to be literate in order to search the I-net. 😀
    Otherwise, you may check here.

ROFLAMAO. Go on Wiki, FFS. It’s enough…

True, but will still have significantly higher average speed than F18, especially if the latter is hauling 7 pods and 4 missiles.

gee why am i not surprised your links dont address the issue, you may have well put up one to funny pictures of cats and dogs

The EF-111 has a large internal fuel capacity. It wouldn’t drain them that quickly.

thanks for making my point for me and the same applies for the f-22
    and the typhoon ?

250 NM supercruise plus 30 min CAP on internal fuel its not “bingo real quick”… Not here not in the moon…
EF official numbers from the 2006 Norway presentation.

the claim is it stays with the f-111 and f-22
    your post shows it doesnt

he’s making a big deal out of fighters 1.8 and 2.0
    tactically insignificant

cola, just out of curiosity what jammer platforms does your airforce run

gunna need a link to 100 for uro deltas, f-16′ are 25 ish and the canards give you a few more deg’s to 30 ish after that its nonsense and your stalling and washing speed is my pleb view, but a decent link will convince me differently
