There are loads of these BA Rendezvous on Ebay every Month, this one I managed to pick up for about £90, theres one on at the moment that a guy is trying to sell, price atm is £70 and the reserve hasnt been met, hes been trying to sell it for ages but has the reserve set too high, people wont pay stupid money for them now, if ya smart and lucky you can pick up a bargin 🙂

hell no, its fuel planning and monitoring all the way for me, its nice to know I have a contingency plus extra on board at all times, and as its no-ones intention to run out of fuel, if it happens then like u say Moggy the CAA fines would be the last thing on my mind, first and foremost surviving the landing would be my main concern 🙂

who are we to judge what the hardest and most stressfull job is? what depicts a stressfull job?, the diversity of the human race depicts that what one person finds stressfull the other does not, is trying to get a 396 tonne 747 on the ground stressfull? is it? it could be, one captain may find this quite stressfull yet the other takes it in his stride, I absolutely know what you are trying to ask but I just dont think there is a simple answer, with the right training I dont think any job is/should be stressfull, its when the chips are down and its going **** up, thats when the real stress starts.

as I said in your last thread (which you have failed to respond to)
buy the PPL Confuser, it is a must, if you struggle with the exams then you have to buy this.
During my training I often wondered about having my licence, I often wondered about doing my QCC, could I, would I ever achieve it, could I do it, it seems so close, yet so far away, but when the time comes you cope with it and you do it and you achieve.
Its the same with my CPL, Im starting my ATPL’s very soon and wonder if Im academically capable, I took an Open University Mathmatics course last year and passed with 95%, this was just to dampen my fear of failure, to me, at 30 years old failure is not an option, should I have done my ATPs when I was 18? hell yes, did I realise what I wasnt doing by not realising my dreams since I was 7 years old? hell no, I met my wife when I was 18, Im now 30 with a child on the way and a hefty mortgage, I have a PPL but it isnt enough, so is the path ahead going to be easy? is there going to be more ups than downs? hell no, but I dont wanna get to 45 years old and say to myself, DAMN I WISH I tried, Id ratehr be in a position to say to people who have failed (and I wish these to be few and far between) that Ive been there, done that, and got coffee stains on the tea-shirt

try http://www.transair.co.uk or http://www.ebay.co.uk 🙂
Congratulations on passing the MET, as for the Nav I found the exam easier than expected, BUT, you need to know your stuff, make sure you are clued up on lattitude/longditude reading, conversions of magnetic headings to true headings and visa versa (variation west, magnetic best and all that, and remember its the oposite way round for a conversion from magnetic to true), you will need your map and wizz wheel at the exam as you will do a flightplan, and just be careful when working out the wind corection angles and airspeeds as I only got one question wrong if I recall and it was because the flightplan had a 5kts lower airspeed and I misread it so this threw my calculations out.
Fuel consumption is another, also make sure you can read and understand nearly every symbol on the map.
Basically make sure you have a sound knowledge of Nav before taking the exam, I take it you have bought the PPL Confuser book? if not, you must must must get it if you struggle on the exams, and make sure you are getting 95% right inthe Confuser book too.
As for the other exams, well some are easy some are hard, i didnt really find any of them taxing but I messed up a tad on the Aircraft General because I didnt read the questions properly, so some of the best advice I can give is TAKE YOUR TIME, read and understand the question before answering them.
good luck
Dean.
