No, they won’t, but look at the modle (i know it’s only a modle), it dosn’t look that safe. I can’t see many airlines going for it, as it’s slower etc. Boeings “yellowstone” projects seem a much more favorable choise for airliners.

I like Icelandair, and the 757’s with winglets. I gather the 767 will soon receive the blended winglet treatment too…

They don’t look right on the 787, but meh. Iceland air are a good airline, they are getting a 787, with out winglets. I do want to fly on a 787, and icerland air. I havn’t flown with them yet, but i hear they are quite good. I’m plaing a trip to iceland this year, so if i do go it will be with iceland air and not BA, (unless they drop the flight price down)

Please explain why the birds are more likely to strike engines mounted at the tail then when said engines are mounted on the wings?

No, thats not what i meant. I meant the damage could be worse as they look very vunriable and flimsy.

    No!!!!!!!

They won’t make that, not now, not ever. If a bird hit that engin, i’d hate to think what would happen. boeing won’t make it, they have big plans for next gen planes to replace the 737, and thats not it. It is called Y1, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_Y1. No one will make that. It is ugly, slow and no one will catch on. Who cares about the enviroment, i much rather get to A-B as quickly as possible.
Think about it, no one will want to fly on it, Look where the engis are, who would bulid engins that vunerable to bird stricks etc. Also i’m amusing it will come under the turbo-prop. I personaly will refuse to fly on that. For the reasons, it looks unsafe, slow and just wrong. Aslo where the hell is the rudder?

Wow, there are loads, thanks. Only one of them has a cockpit panel though. Does anyone know how to get that to work?

Nice shots, espically the iceland air. I love the livery and the airline. Also the 757 with wingtips are nice planes.

Very nice shots. How did you get close to take them. How did you get so close to the taxiway.
