He has recently said that he is considering taking up flying again but i doubt he would return to display flying again. A fallout with his parents as well as not feeling this country is as safe as it used to be were all part of his decision to move to the USA.

I’m sure he has said in interviews that he has no plans to replace any sold aircraft as he is using the cash to pay for the Spitfire. The way he is getting fed up with the new rules taking all the fun out of displaying I wouldn’t be surprised if he sells the whole collection and just keeps one to play with!

A lot of the blister hangers at Cosford suffer from ‘concrete cancer’. I was told this a few years ago when I was there as press for the airshow. The guide told me that the roof on a few of them have a habit of dropping lumps of concrete on your head without warning!

Wroughton has been closed to the public for years. I read somewhere many of the storage hangers have safety issues and I’ve heard its very very hard to get in there even by researchers, other museums ect.

Yes my photos were taken later when the B-25 was moved out of the old Armstrong Whitworth compound before they pulled it all down and was placed next to the perimeter fence.

Its good that the wooden parts are in storage, it would be disgraceful if they were destroyed in the process
