But there are the propaganda values of the ignorace and unfamiliarity of the public.
Like for instance, you can make out big headlines here in finland by saying that North-Korea just lanched a cruise missile towards the direction of japan, and everybody who’s remembers the bad and nasty NATO cruise missiles from the 80’s automaticly drawns the image of nuclear holocaust and that North koreans needs to be stopped. And then the reporter even adds that it was a chinese silkworm type and the average watcher starts to swear about their heaten commie conspiracy.
…and nobody bothers to tell about the fact that the silkworm is a chinese made P-15, SS-N-2 Styx or MTO 68 as know in here finland, our first anti-ship missile, specially allowed in the Paris peace treaty update due its defensive nature….

well only one nation made big boiler size missile launchers for big supersonic cruise missiles whit sheer volume…and that was the Sosialististen Neuvosto Tasavaltojen Liitto, or USSR in London’s dialect. And that particular ship whit big tubes is one of the Slava class missile cruisers…but perhaps some one less ice-hockey enthustiastic could answer about that gun…I need to go watch some TV…

i once read article about brazillian anval aviation in finnish aviation magazine and it said that The choice of Skyhawks was dictated by size of the carrier Minas Gerais, which was then the sole operational brazilian flattopper…A-7s and Super etendards were too heavy and Harriers werent aviable to the braz’s so A-4 was only choice..

How hard would it be for the Soviets to just bypass such NATO countries as Italy and Greece and Spain…or Norway and Sweden (even if Sweden decides to join in)? That would also potentially weaken the NATO alliance if these countries do not feel threatened as much by a Soviet invasion if this war started?

well there were always us finns who would have been relatively easy to lure to attack on Soviet back…there is sooo easy to cut dwon Murmanks and Kola penisula from supply lines and even invade Leningrad…And that should have been exactly what NATO should have done in the event of the war…thougth it would have brougth doom upon us, We still are that stubbourn and stubid to take our changes for one more time… 😑 πŸ˜‰

And if you look the picture from the Soviet perspective, you will understand that ignorace of the northern front is absolutely out of guestion!
