    Gollevainen,
Thats all you would do for Finland’s forces? I would do a lot more!

    How about:

    Purchase EMB-314 trainers

    Purchase EMB-145 EriEye AEW&C aircraft

    Purchase Mi-28N attack helicopters

Purchase S-300PMU2 SAM systems to complement the BUK-M1-2 in service.

Replace all artillery and coastal artillery 100mm, 122mm, 130mm, & 152mm howitzers with the new 52cal 155mm howitzer

    Purchase 3 Gotland Class Submarines

Purchase 3 Visby Class Corvettes to replace the Turunmaa Class Corvettes.

Purchase 6 Hamina Class Attack Craft instead of 3 planned.

Purchase 6 Tuuli Class Attack Craft

Upgrade the minelayers with Umkhonto-IR SAM systems

Yeas, but with whose money:D 😀

But, yeah if we speak other than aviation, S-300 would be nessecity for small nation that cannot rely on Air dominance in its air defence. Also, I would also set up an submarine arm with one or two old swedish boats as training vessels and propaply a class of five to six boats in the future, like Viking project (if its still alive??)
Also, I would have kept the plans with Tuuli class hovercraft, but perhaps build domestic corvettes, propaply even in place of the Hamina class, becouse they were hasty mid term solution to support the yards, despite all the requirments that was set for the new class indicated corvette type functions…but then again, if we really want to controll our sealines; Haminas, what-if corvettes and Tuuli’s would have their place.

The artillery replacing is a tuff task, becouse we have one of the largest artillery branch among “western” european armies, but the 52 cal sure is a nice thing to every brigade have…done my own conscription period with it and what a beast it was….one of the best among all of the APU fitted towed guns that is there:dev2:

oh…and the minelayer upgrade isent part of this thread, becouse its all ready taking place
