I’m a corporal, so no need to “sir” me…;)

Pr. 1165 is true to the extent that various naval journals do mention a missile cruiser with that project name but nothing more is being published. My quess is that it never reached even to design board and thus no drawings of any kind is availble…

you should really rest with the pr. 1165. Among us members in this forum, there are only few that actually could even theoretically know about it and those have already awnsered (not anyway dishmissing or minimalizing of those members that you have harrashed with this)

We have discussed over this ship in forums that are specially dedicated for “what ifs” and “never wheres” and the result is the same, none knows anything else than Snake65 have said. I assume that there just isen’t any internet data availble and those with actual access to the real soviet naval archives just isen’t wasting their time in military forums (they apparently have a life;) )

Asking about it from every single person that you come agross with is only doing harm for the whole quest. Just relax and wait untill something pops up (and it will if it is to come)…

as while your search, Why not a linedraw of the Bharain Al Manama class (the one with the HELO hangar) as well? I have find it rather difficoult to find, thougth you could assume her beeing a quite common ship in all charts by its oddity feature

I wouldn’t say that…since the clean up, its place has taken by flamefigths and assorted discussion that roses nothing but bad temper…but back then, this part of this forum was joyfull place to visit while taking a rest of the military sides hulabaloo…

But I understand the bandwith and archive proplem that over 10,000 post threads would generate…while a better solution migth would have been that mods would have deleted posts in regular basis staring from the beging of the threads(who really wanted to read whole 3 word story from the beging:eek: ), and therefore keep them in check…after all a sort of rutine task that I wouldnt expect to burden nobody that much…;)

but they we still regarded as SRK, thougth for the bigger seas, but not for the sort of fleet duty than in Western navies…more ike the size was requirment set for the ships by the sea conditions in the north and east.
It has good equipment gear but little bit too short of endurance to replace the bigger ASW ships that propaply would be a requirment for any new russian larger frigate desing…

Neustrhashimyy was essentially a dedicated SRK to fill its part in the larger Soviet Navy, a big (and expensive) ship for relatively small waters, not be mistaken as frigate of western sence of same size (Kortanear, FF70, Type 23).

After the situation changed, there wasent money to build such a ship and currently that sort of vessel is bit useless as it doesent provide that good multipurpose elements needed in the fleet role. The New 22380 class SRK is to be build largelly fill the gab that the Neustrhashimyy was orginally intended.

and as for Klinok, smply becouse there hasent been money for building new ships nor modernise them extensevly…

Becouse both (lightweight MiG and heavy weight Su) had similar requirements, to be able to outmanuvre all existing western fighters. Therefore both companies consulted the same people duing aerodynamical designing and in those days the aerodynamical shape of which both planes herritages was the best alternative…
