Based on purely military facts thats the only possiple outcome of such confrontation, thats all, no matter wheter I want it or not….thougth I must confess that I dont lose my nigthly sleep when the heroic IDF soldiers are getting killed….after all, isent that what the soldiers needs to do, die?? :diablo:

If this is what you think and obviously you derive a pleasure from thinking
so, then good for you.
I just said that If Israel is going to invade Leabanon again, it will suffer extensive military defeat. You were the one boasting about going back there to do even more horrible deeds to lebanese civilians, so why you are now crying if I just stated that israeli soldiers will die doing so…Is it so hard to see your heroes fail? ๐ :dev2:

In my opinion and the opinions of most Israelis (as it will reflect in the next election) Israel did go far enough. If you think Israel was bad now
(I know, they always are no matter what) then just wait for round 2.
….Round 2 and Israel will take even bigger beating than this time :dev2: :dev2:

Israel is still a state (Sorry Gollevainen) and has democratically elected
government and so does Lebanon.
It’s not your fault ๐
But the fact that Israel is a state makes it’s actions far more worse.
So that every one can feel safe.
I bet those homeless Lebanese are having nice feeling of secure, don’t you think :dev2:
Hezbollah may have won the propaganda war with Iran and Stria forced to go along with it but in every other respect they are losers and the so called called “Arab street” knows it
You forgot to mention the military victory as well ๐

Douple standarts?? Well I can proudly claim that I’m not suffering form it. I look all those cases separetly which most of the western people simply just cathegorizes under the term Terrorism. I look trough each cases facts and what is behind the scenes and then make a judgement based on my own sense of justice and what is right and what is wrong.
It’s funny that you mentioned douplestandarts and western wolrd. Before the 9/11 the determine of terrorism was actually quite rational, but ever since that day when Pertti “Spede” Pasanen died (or was it day before?) the things changed. Since 9/11 all those who are against US policy and hegemony are terrorist. Former freedom fighters like the chechens, kurdistan PPK and many oehtr became evil terrorist over one night…so no wonder it made the UN confused.
I don’t know if Israel is a terrorist country, but it hell sure is a terroristmagnet…ever wonder why?
….becouse all what Israelians want is to feel safe ๐

The only thing which stopped Israel from eradicating Hizballah was its presence among civilan population.
Trust me, Israel could have destroyed Hizballah, it’s just a question of how nasty it wants things to get.
Nope. IDF isen’t any miracle force, it’s just normal army, build up by normal people (I assume you will join them as you reach the proper age?). THey asre not invincible anymeans. If your statement about the civilian being killed would have been true, the IDF wouldn’t have attacked Lebanon in the first place. Determined gurellians cannot be beaten with violence, no matter how nasty you will lower yourself. You see the soldiers ordered to do the “nasty” stuff are just ordinary mens and doing nasty stuff, stuff that has nothing to do with being a soldier lowers the morale and combat morale is one the biggest factor of troops performance. You know what I mean when you join to army…
The reason why Israel agreed this rather unpleasent peacetreaty (from their point of view) is becouse they couldn’t win the Hizbollah. They didn’t manage achive none of the objectives given to them and only caused huge damage to Lebanese infastrcuture and generated yet another generation of those with solid reasons to hate Israel. So in otherways you are right, Israel ended it’s agression becouse of the civilian casualites would rise too high. If they would have done what you suggested and “get nasty” it would have drained the Israel to it’s exhaustion and it would have been the end of it. Like Afganistan drain soviet union to bankrupt, Occupation of Lebanon would do the same for Israel, only in faster time…
We debate this because Israel is not alone in this world. Most of the members who post here live in democratic nations. I believe that if they won’t be exposed to other opinions other than their own, this will eventually effect their countries to adopt more radical policies against Israel
We depate this matter becouse this is a Internet forum, a place dedicated for these sort of discussions. And what comes of us being expose to pro-Israeli obinions, at least in my part it has only strenghten my own stance. But in wider scale it would be good for all if the world take more strickter line agaisnt Israel, It would end them bullying around and force them to rely on diplomacy and conciliarism which would eventually mean less violence…is that a bad thing??

Funny thing you mentioned that Israeli civils are dying and Lebanese are only used as a shield…makes me wonder that you might think lebanese aren’t good enough to be left alive…
Israel is going to continue to defend their nation and they rightfully should.
Yeah as long as Israelians feel safe…but i’ve said that already, haven’t I :p
At this point I don’t care what Israel has to do to get rid of Hezbollah so they might as well just go all out.
Only proplem is that IDF is not able to do it…It’s different to shoot schoolkids throwing stones but when faced up against real soldiers fighting like in their situation should be done, the mighty IDF is running home with his wag between his legs…
Perhaps we should create a voluntary group from all this forums foam-mouths to be send to aid IDF to help the israelians feel safe…what do you think phanty? Would you be up to it??

All I know is that if Mexico or Canada were to shoot rockets into civilian areas. It doesn’t matter what crimes my government was responsible for. I would want the government to protect those civilians no matter the cost. So I am definately on Isreal side on this issue. However, because Isreal has the money, it should help rebuild Lebanon. The long term goal is Isreal’s survival. The only solution for that is winning the Arab streets
…as long as Israelians (and US citizens in this case) feels safe… ;)ยด
