(Jan. 13, 2004): According to a circulation relased by the Pentagon, the U.S. has given Belgium “conditional permission” to sell its surplus F-16s to Pakistan.
countries like POland are joining NATO and they are getting western equipment such as F-16s, specially the ones in storage and thats why they are getting rid of old, semi-used Mig-29s.
Russians are doing the samething what most hardware companies do in US, buy your opponents/competitor’s equipment and sell you the new ones. They can turn around sell the old bought back Mig-29s, overhaul them and sell them to countrries like Bangladesh or india who already has them.
Most likely sell them to countries for spares such as India, Angola, Libya? and others
touchy touchy 😀
hey man don’t arugue with me, I am just reporting what I have read…. take it up with forcast international:rolleyes:
very nice, the tail of J-7 is kinda wrong but great work.
Wing fence was installed due to partial FBW aircraft has, only has one sided FBW, will confirm that later on. The fence was installed for precautionary steps and will be removed or might have been removed already.
MIrage-2000 uses RDY-2 radar and RC-400 is a different model itself, you can read the specs on thales website
This post from Pakdef verifies my post about the adaptation of flight simulator for the prototype testing. If you read the second part of the thread, the radar they are planning to use is RC-400 which I had mentioned earlier as well.
With RC-400 radar and related avionics this aircraft is quite a punch. According to some Chinese sources some rework was done along the lines of intake and the flap at the intake but that was for better flow of air. Nothing about the increased wing span.
Sources in China have also confirmed that 2 seater version of J-10 will be out for testing by the end of February and a team of PAF pilots and engineers are heading to CHina in 2 to 3 months to evaluate the aircraft. Rumor has it that this will start induction by the mid of next year.
PAF is in negotiations with France and Italy for the avionics. Recently a news came out that head of the pakistan navy is heading to France for an official trip.
what animation? any links?
kuwait has F-18s and not F-15s. Most like S. Arabia will go with Rafaels or Mirages to relace their F-5s
lots of CGIs for J-10 and FC-1, how come nothing for LCA?
Anyone who did it for these can also do for LCA?
the only thing that can save EF is a large order from some middle eastern country. The only few in mind are UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and may be Qatar.
Qatar already bougt what they needed, Qatar andKuwait will go only with US, so last option is Saudis. Saudi Arabia according to some news last year and rumors among the vendors and brokers suggest that it will be a French platform.
I am not sure where you guys are getting the idea about slow turn rate and more wing span rumors. From what I know for a “fact” that China’s wind tunnel tests results were also tested on software based simulation with all the required specs including the turn rates at different Gs.
The software was developed locally but two companies, one from Europe and one from Israel who was also helping in J-10 project played an active role.
I think poeple should stop spreading rumors on this or any projects unless they know for sure.
