We don’t need a lot but we need them now! But we need the new
    PROJECT 28

    ——————————————————————————–

The Project 28 (P28) ASW corvette will be the Indian Navy’s new anti-submarine warfare (ASW) surface combatant for the 21st century. The program calls for 4 – 6 units of this class. In a news article which appeared in the Times of India, the vessel will be fitted with state-of-the-art armaments, will have the capability to track down enemy submarines and destroy them. The ships will be built at Kolkota’s premier ship-building establishment, GRSE (Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers). Officials at GRSE stated that the order for the ASW corvettes was received in 2003 and design work on the vessel has already begun. They also stated that plate cutting of the first vessel is expected to begin as soon as the designs are approved by the Indian Navy.

This is how IN plans to fight subs and with 10-15 subs by 2015 IN we be awsome.

It doesn’t look that big. The Chinese version looks huge! BTW can a nuke be strapped onto the cruise missile?

No prob…I didn’t know how big this forum was. We should have search engine!
Any way the new Tomahawk has a range of 3000 km! But the problem is that is slow and targets tend to move by that time. Don’t forget its expensive.

Its still so messed up…their polices are so messed up. It seems they want to protect Islam but Pakistan is an Islamic nation as well but they aren’t even as opersive as the Suadis’. Which reminds me does China acknowledge religions? Even Bhuddism?

where did u get the images from? the ship seems to be moving in the
launch pic somewhat unusual for a BM – dont submarines always come to stop before commencing launch of their SLBMs ?

the hydraulic jacks under the launch platform are for stabilizing it in two axes I suppose.

it was from a ship man.

I think this missile will have future in India’s NUKE capable subs…because India isn’t developing a ICBM…not that I know of but if it can launch nukes from a sub into 300 km distances then every place is nuke capable. Almost every thing with MORE accuracy of course.

flex, I would say that the Teja’s design is not obselete… it may look like it but its a cranked delta wing. Its also the reason why its small.
PS the reason why Tejas did not have canards is because unmovable canards had NO impact on its proformance.

I wouldn’t put the Teja’s as the best Navel Fighter in the world! JSF, Su-33, MiG-29K and the Hornet all out match it. In terms of most inexpesive navel fighter, than yes! The Teja’s is awsome navel fighter because unlike the others its cheaper, new (unlike the Su-33) and smaller!
