And what I find difficult to find? Pics of Floggers taken “air-to-air”, particularly air defense fighters like MiG-23MF, ML and MLD. One can find lots of pics of Floggers on the ground, or taking-off / landing, but few ones showing that awesome ventral fin extended, or wings in swept position… ๐Ÿ™

From a Flogger fan (since old eighties),

    Hi Sean,

What will the upgrade entail? Any chance of ever seeing a radar installed? Throwing a small radar in the nose and getting something like the Derby/R-Darter might make them feel a little better about the delays in the F-X program.

As A-29 said, the radar will be SCP-01, an air-to-ground device. The nature of the airframe (slow, high drag, underpowered) seems to drive ideas away from anything that resembles air-to-air. Hence, the delays in the FX program can be compensated by the F-5M, but hardly by A-1M.

But Canada already operates Merlins / Cormorants… Doesn’t it look strange from a communality point of view?

    Any links?

The Israelis are developing some AEW planes based on Gulfstream Jets. This one looks like the best choice to Chile, if they donยดt want to use Embraer + Erieye.

Those 707ยดs are quite expensive to operate.

He might be high, but then again he isnt even lined up to land on the carrier.

He is going to fly acroos it from side to side not along its length.

I thought the same. The strange thing is the landing gear, that seems to be extended (down).

Couldn’t agree more, 1×1 would surely portrait the match in a more appropriate manner.

Have you ever put your camera into the afterburner nozzle with the flash “on” and pressed the button? ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜€

OK, I’ll put these pics that were taken by myself at the Alabama Battleship Museum, 2003 (thanks again ELP for the heads-up):

Looks like a F-16A from the Alabama ANG.

I must admit I fear their potential urine smell and / or taste.

Are they OK? I mean, can they be eaten without tons of strong and / or peppery complements to disguise their taste?
