I just cant get on with Twitter & I did give it a good try.. However I have found lots of good Aviation related sites & joined them ” Liked” on Facebook . Also being an owner of Jeep & Dodge vehicles , apart from their respective Forums , I can message & glean info off Facebook as well.

I’m still doing reseach on this , my dad hs been gone for some time & my sister has a lot of relevant info, so I must stop being so lazy & get it off her. From what I can remember him telling me ( Why didnt I ask more questions when he was alive ??)Heston, Croydon & Gatwick….I believe he worked for Airwork & Avro & many others . During his time at one of these airports he befriended a Lufthansa pilot who used to fly a JU52 ( Complete with swastika on tail) . I remember him telling me he worked on a Bucker Jungman & at one time ” Jason ” Amy Johnsons plane . I believe he was some sort of fitter / rigger–& hydraulics. More to come as I find out. ( This post may want moving to correct slot!)

Just caught up with it on i-player thingy….great stuff for us 66 going on 13 types . Cant understand why a car as big as a jeep Patriot would have any form of MINI badge on it?? & the E–type not starting –yea been there ( I was a young car salesman in 1963)
