Forgive a young, keen new geographer but would I be right in thinking Lenticular’s are special for their large flat surfaces and often form in areas of high altitudes e.g. Mountains,

As things stand, there isn’t the airspace and ATC capacity to allow for another major airport in the SE of England (especially S or E of London); as well as London, you’ve got Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and more to consider. IIRC the recent venture of Manston as a low cost base caused massive problems for my colleagues at Swanwick and West Drayton.

Thats WITH Heathrow – new airport would NOT have the constraints of all that LHR traffic,

I have to say I support the idea – I want to see a London Airport up there, busiest in Europe and top of the world even, but thats just not going to happen at the current site, its position is slipping and without room to facilitate any more expansion there comes a time to move to some where that can.

A new airport, means the airport (taxiways, terminal buildings etc…) can be laid out in a simpler format and in a way in which expansion is easier – such as at Jersey where the terminal was built with expansion in mind,

That’s it! Hope you’ve enjoyed looking at the screenshots. 🙂

I most certainly have – especially the funny flying-tricycle and loopdy-loop,

Will this be an annual event? 😀

Its a fair bet that whatever Thomsonfly order will be part of a large bulk order from the TUI group.

I heard not long ago that the TUI group were organising the financing for a large aircraft order.

What would this include then? My speculations are as follows then:

    – B737 Classics with B737NGs
    – B767s with B787s

Would the Fokkers and the B757s along the line get replaced, and what by?

They came out huge when I tried that

I saw them pics when you did that and I considered their size perfectly acceptable – alike the content,

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what, if anything, Boeing find out of the ordinary.

Don’t forget that the 777 has something called Thrust Asymmetric Compensation (TAC) which recognises a difference between the two engines’ fan speed and hence automatically adjusts the rudder to compensate during, for example, an engine failure.

Although, unlikely to be the cause of this problem, it could be something to take into account.

So theoretically a software failure of this system could of caused such an incident?
