Why on earth is there a subforum just for one thread..?!
My thoughts exactly, it just wastes our time getting to it, time is money, albeit 5-10 seconds, it adds up the number of times i visit this thread

It looks just like an A320 with winglets to me.
The point about the fuel efficiency increase being marginal on short-haul ops is a strong one, IMHO, so I wonder whether these larger winglets are primarily intended for the ACJ?
Interesting thought but the ACJ project just focused on the smaller market going down to the A318CJ from the A319CJ where as Boeing went up from BBJ – BBJ2 – BBJ3, however perhaps an A320CJ is on the horizon
Great shots lately everyone – anyone know why we’ve got a new subforum,
hehe – first to post in it

I am a bit  about this so what planes will not be here in 2030 then? but then again this could all change.
still think the A318 might fly from here one day and is the EMB 170 is certified at LCY now?
James
There are no planes there that won’t be in 2030 but they are saying they have no intention of certifying larger aircraft (i.e. A318) before 2030
The EMB 170 was due to finish May – November time according to my contact but I am a bit confused about it, it has only made the one trial visit and Swiss hasnt taken delivery of any as yet, so nobody is placed to use it here.
Happy Today,
London City have announced that as of 2nd May BACON will be flying to Milan Malpensa, once daily departing 0930 arriving at 1230 as BA8743,
Looking at the white paper recently released it claims that by 2030 the airport will be able to handle 8 million passengers, using the current runway no major infrustructual plans have been made and there will NOT be a need to host larger airplanes.
The number of stands will be increased and a summary of the master plan can be found here:
http://www.londoncityairport.com/masterplan/MasterPlanSummary.pdf
How long until Ryanair post comments on the side of their aircraft on the matter!?!?
I regularly have this problem, the solutions have always worked for me:
– check the fuel in each of the tanks, a lot more in one than the other will cause a swerve
– Go to a head on view, at low speed roll the a/c a bit and check the wheel is lined up straight (use 0 or Enter (NUM off))
– Check all engines are being used, not just one,

Who cares about looks – if it improves efficiency and reduces fuel burn it doesn’t really matter
Bludy hell mate – thats one long report
4 hrs of reading later I have througly enjoyed your trip report – I used the edit feature and it appears to be 50 pages long when in Word!!!
Anyway, I feel as if I have toured Argentina, crossed Australia and ridden the ferries with you, it really was better than any book i’ve read in a long time 😉

Its nearly coming to the end of its certification for LCY.
James
Emailed my contact at the airport and he says that it is not certified and the official LCY operations website has no record of any certification process and it is not on the list of certified aircraft so I would be grateful if I could be provided with evidence for this
Some great work – I’ve just read the whole thread and did them two A320 start ups come to fruiton, anything else come to fruition and is there anything in the pipleline,
As mentioned must be quite proud, hope the UAA is fixed up soon,

Just looked at fleet listings, now says ALL 5 of the latest DO328s due are JET versions (TF-NPA-PE).
Believe it’s ‘PA due tonight.
Yes, if they are jets then LCY seems even more likely as one of the new routes you would think.
DO328 jets aren’t certified at LCY
Love them shots – we’re not complaining about the number – well I am – too small if you ask me 😉
