I have just downloaded this really cool B737NG package that comes with several different liveries, and I mean loads. The site is http://www.cam.hi-ho.ne.jp/urakawa- do not know if it works in FS04 but sure is worth trying, only shame is is that it uses the B777 Cockpit

its giving you IFR clearance on a flight plan, not clearance for takeoff. it is saying that you must start flying the IFR flightplan within 30 minutes, or you’ll have to re-file the flight plan.

You probably were at an uncontrolled airport (i.e. no tower) so the airport was unable to give clearance for a flight plan, so you got the clearance from a ‘centre’ somewhere.

I know it was IFR clearence and all that, I always fly IFR – what does everyone normally fly here, VRF or IFR (i was gonna post a poll once but It wont let me! ). Its just that I have never seen that 30 minutes bit before, bemused me, I just had a rough guess at what it meant.

P.S. Thanks for the congrats Ben, you really should post some shots, you are always flying and never posting!

Why did you think they went to slow then? James did say he had to carry extra load, and he did have to stop for fuel.

Completed my first true long-haul flight yesterday from Frankfurt to New York (JFK). Additionally I flew the Air Emilia (any info on the airline would be appreciated in the “Questions” thread in the Commercial forum) roatation from Parma to Crotone, can anyone tell me what the ATC message means – I think it means I had 30mins to take off or i’d have to request clearence again:

Yet one more for you lot to answer, may I add that anyone can post their Qustions here, I feel stupid having a thread devoted to any questions I require/desire the answers to:

As I said in the Rockhopper thread, I was reading the June 2004 edition of Airliner World and What happened to Air Emilia?

Judging by the article they closed (I think, I can’t find evidence to prove or contradict that they have ceased operations) because of poor loads, but any info on their operations and where they have dissapeared to will be much appreciated,

    Cheers,

    Wozza

    EDIT:

Is it me or are you unable to create a poll (not that I want to, just a perculiar observation) or rate a thread?

    Mornin’ all,

I was reading a very old airliner world this morning, June 2004, and read that G-RHOP was stripped to the bone and rebuilt using new parts, can anyone tell me any more on this and if any other Islander/Trislander’s have had this treatment,

    Cheers,

    Wozza

Contact the airport or your airline (what airline is it btw, and are you going to be posting a trip report?) and with a bit of luck they will be able to tell you where you’re gonna be spending Xmas
