Does anybody have the British Airports collection – its great. I’ve only got the South + southwest, South east and Wales+west airports though

Shall me make this for forum members only then.

I reckon we should do the Bristol base, commuter routes and Emb-170’s, any objections, reasons/alternatives appreciated if so.

Any takers for web design? As well as for getting the a/c sorted. Deano appears to know what he is talking about – do you want to head technical operations?

Don’t you think we ought to ask the webmaster before stealling the Key Publishing name for a Forum VA. I’ll ask him if he has any objections, hopefully not.

Is there a way we can make this for both FS02 and FS04? That would be ideal, some good ideas are coming through, we need to appoint a leader. I naturally would like it to be Me, but to be fair LGKR should be – if he is willing

I like Airline Owners idea, but I know I love LCY but what if we decide to fly a bigger a/c, but then again we could have a secondary base.

This plan seems a VLM styled thing, i like it, perhaps F50’s and 146’s

Well aircraft will be a good idea, it is an airline. 😉

Look at it this way – Eastern Airways use Saab 2000s and Jetstreams, easyJet use 737s and BA use 757s. I think you need to a find a name for the airline, work out where it will operate to, then consider the aircraft.

You make out i’m running this all, i’m just trying to get ideas on the table so we can make a start on the technical stuff.

Why not an Alpha One virtual? Ironic, a va of a va 😀

I would operate between airports in the UK.

What with? By this do you mean we just fly between various citie sin the UK like Eastern Airways, theres a thought, why not use Saab 2000’s and Jetstreams.

Where is peoples opinions and ideas today, I was expecting more replies than this. However stupid the idea put it here. Ive warmed to the VA idea and can’t wait to get started

Well, had a thought – doesn’t matter if it wouldn’t work in the real world so lets go for somewhere original, as mentioned above, like Bournemouth, or Exeter or maybe Manston. Anyone got any other ideas on a fleet?

Back to the original topic, shall we start debating and throwing some basic facts in the air i.e. fleet, base(s), original routes, general biz orientation. My suggestions are below and everyone can add to them and we can then pick + chose what we like and settle on a plan – it’s not going to be easy, i forsee squabbling and tantrums.

Fleet type: Q400
Base: London Stansted
First Destinations: –

Geneva
Edinburgh
Nice
Belfast
Dublin

Orientation: LOCO, as originally suggested

Wozza, did you read my post properly? I mentioned the Z10, I’d recommend something like this which allows you to do the things I discussed. This is a digital point-and-shoot. It’s retailing at the moment between £120-150, although expect to pay more if you buy off the net. It might be out of your budget, but you’d be better off saving to buy something a little more expensive. If you go and buy a cheap £50 jobbie it’ll hardly teach you anything, as you’ll most likely only have an auto mode. Something from the Minolta range also has optical zoom, I wouldn’t try anything that only gives you digital zoom.

I wouldn’t, not unless you know what you want. Otherwise you’ll often come home with something that isn’t what they make it out to be.

You say its retailing for £120-150, do you know where, this is just about in my reach.
