Time for wozza’s input.
Number of engines, approx size etc!
It had two engines and was of relatively large size for a biplane – so at a guess a DH Rapide, however the airplane I had little detail on was the size and make-up of the Tiger Moth,
Wozza
Wozza was it two bi-planes?
James
Oh sorry – I missed your previous post, there was not two aircraft, however 10-15 mins later another vintage looking aircraft passed, I could not see in enough detail to determine any significant detail, so possibly.
Long time No Screenies so here comes a large number + an interesting story attatched to an interesting Lufthansa flight!!! p.s. Sorry if no Luft screenies, may leave for my tea in middle :p
Nice F70 of Austrian
Taxiing out for VLM VA Luxembourg to City evening flight
I quite liked the moon in this shot
Possibly best angle I’ve ever taken as an EZY B737-7 lines up on the runway
Taxiing out at Oulu – carrying Lordi on board 😀
Queen of the Skies!!! A sight we can no longer be blessed with 🙁
Lufthansa Story Time 😀
Running up engines in remote area following the change of E4
Liftoff incurring a nasty tail-strike causing the tail to catch fire – not enough runway left so had to take to the skies
Perspective on the flames
Another angle
Tried speeding up to surpress the flames (physics folk will know why 😉 ) – however this resulted in the malfunction of the recently changed E4, thus incurring a shut-down of the engine (not sure if you can see that in this shot)
Upon landing E4 caught fire once stationary! 😮
You’ll be glad to know all passengers evacuated safely and the aircraft is undergoing intensive maintenence + checks whilst investigative authroities inspect the damaged engine,

Isn;t there a bunch of Tiger Moth’s somewhere down in your rather bizzare world that you call “South” 😀
Come to think of it – it did look like a Tiger Moth.
Who said the south was bizarre – its just unique, special…run-down, crime-ridden,
Wozza
EDIT – Another peculiarity I noticed:
– 1 in 2 people was a copper
– A police helicopter spent the afternoon flying in circles, is this normal, and if so a humungous waste of police resources and tax payers money.

tada!
If I remember rightly it was discussed on here that turboprops do still go into Heathrow from time to time?
Biplane into Heathrow? About as doubtful as doubtful comes to be honest!
Well it was a bi-plane and it did a circuit above the area of approach and headed off in the same direction others were approaching in, I assure you it was a bi-plane!!! It does sound far-fetched but it was!
And I am willing to give in, it did come to mind it could of been the Malaysian at the time, the red at the front is identical so it most likely was,
Thanks for all the replys – all that footie – I need a cuppa :p

Some nice shots here!
I’ve just come home from a 5 day spell in hospital with Glandular Fever, so some FS’ing will be needed to cheer me up this week!
erm, ouch, hope you are feeling better and looking forward to the inevitably stunning screenies

Wozza.
Just upgrade mate.
FS9 “Cheap as Chips” nowadays. 😀
What if I cant afford chips!!! 🙁 😮 😀
I’d of thought this pic takes the biscuit: http://www.break.com/pictures/bb8531.html
Yes it is possible, although they show up as different planes that you don’t have installed.
Do you have to do anything special?
Me and Future Pilot attempted it earlier and were unsuccessful 🙁

What was the initial reason for diversion in this incident?
Seems like brums going to be disrupted for most of the day now. She aint going to be moved till later this evening.
Thanks for that – didn’t know that already
Also the Air India 777 is either at Ringway or on it’s way.
Its diverted to LHR as far as I know
The Aurigny billboard scheme really does suit the Trislander.
Not entirely on subject, however I remember reading in Airliner World that Rockhopper had a Trislander re-built, have any more undergone such treatmeant as I would like to see this, would mean more Trislanders flying for longer,
Wozza
The subject of other people’s use of English is off-topic for this Forum. Let’s have no more nit-picking.
GA
If I can make this one, neccessary, non-civil aviation, exception I would be grateful.
Pay heed to GAs reminder, I honestly believed that informing GA of someone’s grammar and post subjects who was really winding me up would have no effect what so ever, however this simple PM that took a mere ten seconds to create resulted in punishment to the offender. Therefore forget moaning in the open forum, as the reminder says, and send off a PM – the results are clear to see in a matter of hours,
