How come the only GSM aircraft I have seen at LPL in the last few weeks has been the 737’s? Surely this does not do the LPL-NOC-JFK rotation?
Also in last Thursday’s Liverpool Echo, their was an advert showing LPL-NYC flying with Zoom, a route currently operated by GSM?
Your best bet is to transit through a European airlines hub that has an extensive African network, such as Amsterdam with KLM or Brussels with SN.
Alternitavely as Scott says fly into London, then on to South Africa with numerous airlines. SA are the safest option on domestic routes in my opinion by a mile!
Well, if you enjoy Bingo, Vera Lynn and stories about how people have no respect for anyone anymore you will love it 😮 Trust me the average age of a PAX on the flight will be 75! The service on board is what you would expect from most Sched’s, but be prepared for a long queue for the toilet.
Have a nice trip and congrats to your cousin!
Thank you very much Charley
I can confirm that it has just left LPL ( Well it has just taxi past my office window any how)
Heard today that Emerald have gone into administration and their is already 4 potential companies planning to take over the operation. It will probably result in me losing my job, but it maybe the kick up the a$$ that i need. Its the older guys i fear for. We have heard nothing from Emerald’s bosses yet but the future looks bleak. Expect an announcement in the coming days!!!
I stand corrected! 😉
Seen EI-DKG here at Liverpool at various times throughout the week. Iv not seen Freebird’s aircraft here for a few days now, but did see a Hamburg International operating on Monday (I think?) Makes a pleasant change here at LPL instead of the usual flying harp!
Probably all having the new BACON livery painted on!
Don’t forget this is BA we are talking about so it would’nt surprise me! 😀
Both EirJet and Freebird are operating for Ryanair from Liverpool. A couple of weeks ago I think their were two EirJet’s operating, either that or I had one too many to drink! (& no im not a pilot!)
Cheers guys!
You are looking in the region of about £450.
Flying from ABZ to LHR, then LHR to ATH, then about 5 hours in ATH before the morning flight with Olympic ( 😮 ) arriving into CFU about 06:30 local time. Ridiculous i know but totally out of season for the charter carriers to fly to the greek region.
