well the pilot will 100% loose his job… CEO of 9W is very strict.
ANd i trust what DGCA says and does, for once it is a very well run governmental organization.
“Her” job.
@ Austin
In the end lets leave that to the professionals , If we are aware of such thing I am sure the IAF is more aware of it , and if they thought that it was such a critical issue, they wouldnt have brought the MKI on the table.
Indian Military does what Civilian Govt. tells them to do.
IAF can pretty much exercise against Singapore and/or Israel as far as F-16’s are concerned. There is no benefit to India from this exercise, in my opinion.
can you find me some sources for that?
The Bush administration is considering a proposal by Britain, France and Germany to offer Iran trade benefits, commercial aircraft and aircraft spare parts in return for dismantling what is suspected of being a nuclear weapons program, European and American officials said Sunday.
No specific links to Tomcat spares though.
UK has Nuke Subs and Aircraft Carriers.
Japan does not.
End of Story
Folks,
Your not reading what I said Huh I said that if you are going to enter into an agreement with the United States to Purchase Arms then you must follow the rules THAT we set up if you sign the paperwork like India and Pakstane did to get the Sea Kings and F-16 which stated that they would not develope their Nuke to Bombs then when you violated the Contract you have to suffer the Consequence of ones action.
I fail to see how both Countrys find it hard to understand a very simple rule, which basically said don’t build Nuke Bombs and we will provide you with Arms and Support.
But thats not the subject of this Thread, it was should India buy 130J over anything the Russian have at this time. So unless someone can show me something the Russian are producing that will be in service with the same level of Part Supply and Tech help over the next 20 Years then I say its a good purchase buy the Indian Air force.
RER
Just to clarify things a tad,
(1) Sea Kings were bought from Great Britain and not the US. They were grounded for lack of American spares (as some parts of that chopper were of US origin). In India’s purchase of Hawk Trainers for example, it has been taken care of (all US made parts are being substituted with UK parts or Indian parts)
(2) No ‘rules’ were violated..India never was and will never be a signatory to CTBT (Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty) or the NPT (Non Proliferation Treaty).
It’s 40 years old.
Russia has paid its $3.3 billion debt to the International Monetary Fund early. The debt was due for payment in 2008.
Russia still owes “The Paris Club” $44.4 billion. This is much more than Russia owed to the IMF. The debt is due for payment in 2005.
However, Russia is in talks with the Paris Club to pay its debt to the club early
Very Informative ink, Thank You.
Though this time around, Putin seems to be more interested in Bangalore (IT related) than anything else.

Another Indian Mirage-2000 military jet crashes
NEW DELHI (AFP) Nov 09, 2004
An Indian air force Mirage-2000 jet crashed on Tuesday, the third French-built warplane involved in a crash since September, officials said.
They said the jet went off military radar “almost immediately” after taking off at around 8:40 pm (2040 GMT) from the central Indian air base of Gwalior and then crashed into a dense forest.
“The aircraft seemed to have caught fire while gaining altitude,” an air force source told AFP in New Delhi as rescuers rushed to the site to hunt for its lone pilot.
On October 12, an Indian air force Mirage-2000 went down during joint maneuvers with the Singapore air force after its pilot lost control because of technical problems.
Another Mirage-2000 crashed close to crowded Gwalior city after losing its nosewheel in midair on September 23.
A defence ministry official said the latest crash was bewildering.
“We are really at a loss to figure out why we are now losing Mirage planes. They have been so sturdy since we inducted them (mid-1980s),” the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
India’s air force has been plagued by crashes of its ageing fleet, although accidents involving Mirages have been rare, in contrast with its mainstay fleet of MiG-21 fighters which has frequently lost planes.
Four British-designed Jaguars crashed in quick succession earlier this year, killing three pilots including one whose parachute failed to open.

Sean,
Regarding the post by RajKhalsa. Those are TOM COOPER’s WORDS.
http://www.acig.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=48805#48805
RajKhalsa, you may want to put that up in BIG, Bold and Beautiful Letters in the original post so that confusion is avoided.
(1) I assure you it is a Russian saying. 🙂
(2) A determined terrorist conflict plagues Russia in Chechnya, how is that Lucky?
(3)
Just 10%+ of Japanese BIP or similar to India.
Could you explain what BIP is? I tried to Google, but am unable to come up with a satisfactory answer.
PS: Russia ended 2003 with its fifth straight year of growth, averaging 6.5% annually
In particular, two Tu-22M3 long-range bomber regiments of the Air Force will be put into reserve. Subject to the reduction will also be fighter regiments: two MiG-29 regiments, two MiG-31 regiments and one Su-27 regiment. Reduced at the same time will be two bomber regiments (Su-24M) and two attack aircraft regiments (Su-25). Several Mi-8MT and Mi-24 helicopter regiments will cease their existence. At the same time, the current Air Force reduction provides for introducing some improvements. For example, some airfields after reduction of the air regiments will be turned into air materiel storage bases. The materiel will be maintained by air bases technicians, while pilots will shift to rotational service: if required they will be brought to the air field from neighbouring regiments not subject to reduction.
The reform seems rather comprehensive. What would be even more wonderful : Russia shifting to all volunteer armed forces.
Sens: once can do without the derision, friend. Russia is passing through some tough times now, but it ain’t licked. It will come back stronger, surely.
I remember a popular Russian saying :””No matter how much you feed a wolf, an elephant still has bigger balls.”
Matt,
Those are not his words, he is quoting Tom Cooper.
Whether the post itself is appropriate or not, nothing in it is Khalsa’s.
Sean,
Distance makes the heart grow fonder.
😀
Just a Joke !
