This particular Ethiopian Su-25UB that was posted by p_shadow came actually from facebook.
I found this after hours of doing some digging around.

As for finding The Ethiopian Su-25TK, I wish it were that easy.

You’re right MiG! Facebook has been a huge information source on military matters for years. It has definitely been a great help for authors/researchers for their works too.

That is one of two almost mythological ones for me, the other being either an Mi-17 or a Do-228 from Bhutan. I never imagined that Cape Verde An-26s wore camouflage colors, much less the old national insignia. Wish I could get a good, clear image. This is pretty extraordinary itself, though!

    Something more, for the modellers:

For me the two most mythical creatures are:
    1. Angolan Su-24MK stationed at Catumbela AFB
    2. two or three Ethiopian Su-25TKs at Debre Zeit AFB

The Angolan Fencer is here… for the ETAF Su-25TKs I still have nothing more than few Google Earth shots indicating they, indeed, do exist..

It still looks really strange with the insignia on the fin, especially in that color scheme.

Indeed it looks. I just wanted to add some info, keep on the good work gkozak.

Want to see a really weird one? Here’s a Zairean Armstrong Whitworth Argosy.

Not military and presumably never delivered.

Formerly Shackleton Aviation Services & Otrang Range Air Services, it was never delivered to Zaire, and was scrapped in 1981 in England.

So NATO pilots are getting an average of 150 hours per year it appears.

Not if Czech AF uses the 1/1,5 fighter/pilot NATO ratio in its fighter squadrons…

a Website with Angola naval roundels. πŸ™‚
    http://fanangola.webnode.pt/for%C3%A7a%20aero-naval/

Just artistic impressions of what the website’s author wished or would like to see, doesn’t represent any real roundels. As a matter of fact one should pay attention for the info on that website, specially those who don’t understand portuguese language. It contains a lot of wrong info and errors, most are as i said just pieces of wishful thinking from its author

How about the oldest aircraft still in active and regular service by a European military operator?

A big contender should be Portuguese Air Force DHC-1 Chipmunk s/n 1306 which entered service in 1951 and is still performing (along with five re-engined others) elementary training and glider-towing duties.

A Portuguese Air Force A-7D Corsair II painted with FAM decals as a sales pitch to Mexico. Even though the Mexican Air Force was looking at the type, it was never ordered most likely due to financial constraints at the time.

So to go back my first question was how much dose a MLU cost and what do you get and 38 million is a bit steep for an upgrade and in my opinion MLU is not 22 million dollars better

Romania is paying little more than €10M for ex-Portuguese MLU M5.2…

Can anybody give any suggestion for such a low price ($270 million) for the acquisition of 30 new state of the art a/c + updating of a fleet of circa 80 Block 60?

I believe that’s not for a/c acquisition but for “…equipment in support of…” instead. Other contracts should be signed for new a/c, the upgrade of the current Vipers, weapons, etc.
