Oh no! Dead laptops are a real pain. Hope you get it sorted soon. Thanks for your advise. I could have a go at making one but I have not seen one for real so I don’t know thickness of wheel or hole diameter.. But, maybe someone on here does!

Thanks very much for photo. Much appreciated.

Thanks very much Tony. I think, on the lower tube in photo, I can see the collar that The Beech is telling me about. Can you tell me if yours is off a early or late mk? I was wondering if the end of the tube on a early mk, was round or square?
Any idea who, if anyone, makes the star wheels?

Hi Tony. Thanks for your reply. If you posted a photo I can’t see it!
I can see that the collar behind the star wheel would keep the wheel in the same place when turned anti clockwise but I can’t see how the wheel is held in the same place when the wheel is turned clockwise? It just looks to me that it would just turn into the outer tube!

    The Beach.
That should just about answer my question. Thanks very much for your help. I’m glad it’s something you can’t see on drawing because I was beginning to think I was being thick or stupid or both!

    Yes, thanks Bruce.

It looks like I need a early version of Brown Brothers catalogue is what I need. It’s all much more complicated than I thought it would be!

    Hi John.
Thank you for that but I can’t find any numbers that I have quoted in the Brown Brothers list?
Any idea what the “lock to” number refers to?

Hi chumpy & Richard Gray. I did email AA as that is exactly what I want but the message I had back was that they could not supply me because “stocks were low”
The clickmetal section is just not round enough!

    Bruce & skyskooter.

Many thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately they could not help. I have ordered some with a much smaller rad, it will have to do until I can get hold of some proper form.
