Happy Birthday Graham, you kept that one quiet!
Grass is a greater fire risk
Thanks 🙂
I would be interested in seeing any pictures of the Vipers JP display team
Really glad to hear that there are some fast taxi runway visits planned in 2017 too. I will certainly make an appearance for those. I remember the ones a few years back with the Nimrod too, a real privilege to see and not something that you get to experience at many air museums.
Ive passed RAF Scampton loads before, the airbase looks very secure, and with no signage (that i saw) they certainly weren’t pushing for people to visit. Wishes I knew about it.
Great Film, recommend.
Ian please continue to update the forum if you can, it is one of the main reasons I come here, and certainly look forward to reading about the latest updates.
Thank you for the info.
Good pics!
Pete,
Can you give us some more info regarding whats on offer at this event. I am considering attending, but live several hours drive away, never been to Coventry before, and would like to know if this event is just the taxying of the Shackleton or is there a runway high power run, is there a museum area, other aircraft? Are there any confirmed aircrafts flying by/displaying at the event. Basically is the event going to fill a few hours, or 15 mins?
Hope you can help with this info.
Many thanks
Please could we publicise the company names on the forum, so others can see the information. I think this may be of interest to a few of us.
Does anyone insure their cockpits against fire/theft etc?
J Boyle – and if you are referring to my recent forum post regarding an unidentified pilot grip, that post was made to allow people to pool their knowledge to help solve a mystery of the history behind an aviation artefact. It was not made to simply find out how much it can fetch on ebay. (It’s now currently being sold on ebay, but nearly a year after the original post was made, and for a start bid of 20 quid)
And just incase you were wondering I own a company that advertises with FlyPast, PC Pilot, Aeroplane, and Avion Revue and has done for many years.
Think before you type.
Hello, just to let you all know I am now auctioning this item off, and it can be seen here:
Never say never. And I can certainly say the way XH558 is being currently maintained is keeping the door open to future flight.
