Again many thanks for the input and I’m glad to have indirectly assisted farnboroughbob in his 20+ years quest. Here’s another grab from the film presumably showing the hangers on the other side of the road. By the way the film is also known as ‘Portrait of Alison’.
Many thanks for your input. I’ve attempted to locate a photo of Blackbushe showing that road entrance but have failed. There is a second scene at the same location later in the film where the sign above the corrugated fence clearly reads ‘Airport Service’. The sign to the right of the corrugated fence, which probably could name the airport, remains unreadable in both scenes. Again, many thanks.
These grabs are from the 1955 film ‘Postmark for Danger’ and I am wondering if they show aspects of Heathrow? Within the film they are presented at being at one location.
Many thanks all round. I didn’t mention the name of the film but considering the references to Belgium in the thread I had to smile for the film’s title is ‘If it’s Tuesday, this must be Belgium’.
I recently viewed the film ‘Interpol’, released in April 1957, which included a scene of plane on the tarmac at London Airport. Can anyone identify the sawtoothed building in the distance?
A police car then appears at this location, presumably approaching the Bath Road.
The camera pans to show this. I presume that is a real sign, rather than a prop, and wonder if this is Bath Road facing east?
Thanks.
