Wow what a response, thanks guys. I think the one I saw at Gatwick was ML407.
Why was it at Gatwick? there was a TV programme (cant remember which) at the time that had a competition, the prize being a trip in a Spitfire, I just happened to be there that day when the winner of the comp got his trip

UA 747s were flying into LHR regulary the summer before last (2002) 2-3 flights per day.

Andrew,thats a good site, I have it my favourites, very informative
