One the size of a postage stamp which can be attached to your clothing, (like the crew of the “SS Enterprise” use”) voice actived of course , unless you’ve tiny little fingers to dial the number with. With the earpiece surgically implanted, obviously one that would be compatable with every telephone invented thereafter, otherwise it’d be like going to the dentist every six months to have a check up, and that ‘d get painful after a while.

Nah! I dont go for these video phones, just imagine , there you are late for work, weaving in and out of the traffic, piece of toast in one hand, electric shaver in the other, trying to steer your car at the same time, then the phone rings ! are you gonna answer it ? course you are! ………..how? yea, so it’s hands free, but you’re still gonna look at it.

Gary why dont you move the fridge to within arms length, surely the time taken travelling from PC to fridge and back could be better spent consuming more C*rlsb*erg, especially if , as you say, you end up using the pinball principle of domicile navigation.

    Logic or not?

There is shuttle bus service from Canary Wharf, not sure about the DLR extension tho.
Public transport to LCY is extremely poor I must admit.
Probably the best way to get there is by plane.

    Ah, there you are!

well, its looks ok to me 🙂

just one or two little hiccups tho’, on some threads the replies outweigh the views, only a minor discrepency , but on the whole a good job from WM and his team.

    let there be peace 🙂

    RE: Most Memorable flight?

Well, I dont think I can match that lot for a memorable flight , and BHOY I aint never been in a jump seat so that makes two of us.

My memorable flight was my first ever (well, my second as it was on the return flight) . It was in July 1973 , we took off from Rimini airport at 4.30 am in a Court Airline Tristar, about an hour later we were heading northwest across the Alps just as the sun was rising, wow! what a sight that was with the mountains silhouetted against the eastern sky, itself an increasing bow of light , absolutely breathtaking. Im sure the Capt. had to make some adjustments in the flight as it seemed that everyone on board had moved to the starboard side of the aircraft to see the sun rise

    RE: Greater London Airports

The M25 (London circular, and Heathrow), M11(Stanstead), M1(Luton), and M23(Gatwick) motorways , connect all airports.

travelling times may vary according to traffic,Ive done Gatwick -Heathrow approx 45 min in car . From central London, if you allow an hour for each airport you wont go far wrong.

Public transport for Heathrow includes Underground from cental London, Heathrow express from Paddington, plus buses ,cabs, and an airport bus route aptly named “Airbus”.

For Gatwick there is only either the Gatwick express from Victoria Stn or regular train services , but they’re quite frequent.

Public transport for Stanstead and Luton are mainly coach services from various places in the UK although there is a rail link for Stanstead from Kings Cross Stn and a rail link for Luton also, on Thameslink trains ,from Kings Cross

Also there is a coach service that links Gatwick-Heathrow-Luton.

If you go by car make sure you’ve got a good map.

I hope this has been of help to you

    Dave
