Yeah I’ve heard of Walter Trout, about ten years ago he was playing with John Mayalls Bluesbreakers in the UK .

In case you’ve never heard of them, The Bluesbreakers have been around since the year dot, boasting members such as Clapton, Peter Green, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood(Fleetwood Mac)

Trout even formed his own band while he was here,I think he also cut a couple of albums.
In the time he was with The Bluesbreakers he shared the limelight with an equally good axe man called Coco Montoya,

Unfortunately I havent heard either of these guitarists for some time , I’m not sure where they are or what they’re doing, only that Trout returned to the US a few years ago.

I’ll have a scout round the record stores and see if I can come up with anything

RE: Does the Media run the world ?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 23-11-02 AT 05:19 PM (GMT)]The pen is supposed to be mightier than the sword isn’t it??

No I dont think we can do without the media, it’s human nature to want to know what’s happening, whether it be in our own town or on the other side of the world.
But unfortunately there is of course the gutter press which likes to sensationalise everything.
And lets not forget political spin doctors, surely without the media they’d be unemployed.
Without the media what would we talk about?

The weather, our favourite TV programmes, whether or not our team won, political unrest in the middle east, local elections, etc, etc, etc.

The media, like it or not, is part and parcel of modern living.

…..but, as you say Gary, wouldn’t it be nice to do without it for a week??

    Dave 🙂

now there’s a durable kinda guy, he doesnt seem to follow current musical trends, except maybe when he’s featuring other artistes as he did on Supernatural and Shaman albums.
The guy’s been playing that blend of latino, jazz, rock, since the sixties,

    The man’s phenomonal!!

If you like instrument solos, listen to the Allman Bros. Band, a nice blend of keyboard (Greg Allman)and two lead guitarists (Duane Alllman and Dickie Betts)to listen to.

A bit of useless info for you :The former theme tune to TVs Top Gear was The Allman Bros. “Jessica” the full version is about 8 mins long.
Its one of the best instumentals I’ve heard.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 23-11-02 AT 09:40 AM (GMT)]Yeah thats the one Saab , I couldnt remember their name.

There’s also Redhill aerodrome which hosts a multitude of lght a/c and choppers, but I dont think there’s any scheduled flights from there.

For more lght a/c there’s also Rochester and Headcorn.

    RE: Ambitions As A Child??????

I wanted to be a professional footballer, I only had one handicap……….I couldnt play that well.

Then I wanted to be a famous cartoonist, I was nearer to realising that as I could draw pretty good caricatures.

Being a rock guitarist also entered my dreams, then faded, even though I now play reasonably well.

Wysiwyg, we all dream of being millionaires, but nowadays it all depends on how many lottery tickets you buy .

You’re forgetting Biggin Hill, I think scheduled flights to Le Tourquet still come out of there.

Shoreham only has light aircraft operating from there these days with a few helicopters coming and going. Still worth a visit, ’30s style terminal building and bar/cafe,and museum.

The last time I went to Llydd was about 3 years ago, just a few Trislanders on view and other light aircraft.
