I contribute to another forum on the web( http://www.fender.co.uk)and I posted your comments on Clapton.

The reaction was unanimous in favour of Clapton

Brian Jones was good……. at blues.

But still, in my opinion, not as good as Clapton or Peter Green.

I wonder if John Mayall would have invited Jones to play with the Bluesbreakers. I dont think so!

Yes I know what Uncle Joe and Adolf were responsible for, and Bin Laden does have a long way to go to scratch the surface of their infamy.

All the man wants is for Western powers to accept Islam for what it is and to keep their noses out of their business, not much to ask for really is it?

But George dubbya dont wanna play ball so Osama has a tantrum and the rest , as they say, is history.

In answer to the original question:

I feel for the ordinary moslems, they just wanna get on with their lives their way, just like we do, unfortunately they’re now being brainwashed from an early age to believe that all western cultures are evil.

As for Mr Bin Laden, his skills in diplomatic negotiation leave a lot to be desired, no, I dont feel sorry for him , although, as we’ve already said, his crimes dont match that of Stalin and Hitler, he is just as guilty

The guitarists on this forum might have their preferrences when it comes to rock music and rock guitarists but I dont think there’s many of them that would say Eric Clapton’s guitar playing sucks, I’m not a great fan of Clapton’s music (apart from his blues) but very few can better his ability and technique when it comes to playing blues/rock.
