Yeah you’re right, I went in there some years back, they certainly have an array of aviation literature plus models etc, I think they also sell scanners.

Athough I cant seem to find a website address for them.

RE: Whats been your fav 10 songs of this year so far?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 11-11-02 AT 10:01 AM (GMT)]Oasis outdated??? sorry mate but I dont think they come more outdated than G&R, their music is stuck firmly in the 80s at the moment

Having said that, define outdated? with so many old songs being re-vamped(Guns & Roses are guilty of that as well) it’s hard to say what’s outdated and what’s not. No, it’s what the public want that determines what outdated and whats not.

Kabir when it comes to music broaden your horizons, it’s amazing just how much those 7 notes can produce.

I like most music, from Nat King Cole to Sum 41
    from Beethoven to the Beatles
from Cole porter to Oasis etc, etc, etc.

    Dave 🙂

To many good songs to post here, but top album in my humblest opinion is “Heathen Chemistry” by Oasis, and I dont give a **** what you lot think , I reckon their one of the best bands in the world.

    Santana feat. Michelle Branch? excellent!
anything by Creed is worth a listen,
    Turin Brakes? great stuff!
    Idlewild? good!
    Coldplay? boring!

    Dave 🙂 🙂

    RE: Street Fairs

The same thing happens near us , the Cheam charter fair has been taking place every year on May 15th since possibly 14th or 15th century,
during the war years, so it’s said, one man and his dart board turned up just to keep the tradition going, otherwise the local council would refuse permission for it to held.
There’s all sorts of stalls, tombola , darts etc etc,and for refreshments , the Red Lion pub

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 11-11-02 AT 02:11 AM (GMT)]I like the idea of a B777 with Chinook rota blades, fore and aft of course, but no wings.

Or maybe an A330/340 with VTOL capabilities, that’ll do away with runways.

Er, Jeuneturc was right Andrew those wings on your design should be further back

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 10-11-02 AT 10:22 AM (GMT)]Yeah, what about the front end of a TU 134, the back end of DC10/MD11 and the wings of a Concorde, weird or what?

Jeuneturc, would that be aerodynamically feesible?

    RE: For Kabir……………

    Something like

“Now look here old boy , you cant go round throwing chappies in jail just they want to take a few photographs, damnation! it’s just not cricket old boy!!”

I’m sure that would’ve done the trick.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 08-11-02 AT 02:36 PM (GMT)]Yeah exactly, I can see Heathrow becoming a self sufficient town in it’s own right , it’ll probably have it’s own postal districts as well.

It’s also gonna take some transport system to move 2million people a week around!

    RE: Sixth terminal for Heathrow?

I just cant believe a sixth terminal is under consideration, and they’re looking at a projected figure of 116,000,000 passengers per year.

In my opinion it’s another case of profit before safety,

They’re talking about demolishing houses and hotels, some of which haven’t long been built,to accomodate all of this.

There’s got to be a cut off point sooner or later surely!!

As you can tell I’m pretty much against the expansion of LHR on this magnitude!!

    RE: Breakfast!!!

    Rabie,

I dont like milk either, so why not try an alternative such as soya milk, (I can hear everyone going yuk!)its a bit of an acquired taste by I got used to it, but dont put it in a hot drink such as tea or coffee , it curdles.

Well readers that’s our health tip for the day.
