I have this film on video but haven’t watched it in years, so can’t remember it that well either. However I know I really enjoyed it. I don’t believe the scenes showing Mitchell being inspired by the way seagulls fly are accurate; neither is the scene where Mitchell decides to call the new plane Spitfire. I think he wanted to call it Shrew and he thought that Spitfire was a stupid name. But it is a very interesting film.

Any chance the Breighton Buchon attending Flying Legends this year? I’ve never seen a Buchon in the air; the only one I’ve seen was the OFMC machine undergoing winter maintenance in 1997.

Don’t know where, but was it used for the TV series Piece of Cake?

    Thanks Merlin70.

Didn’t realize I would get a b*ll*cking just for asking about a hamburger was – and I did say ‘If I find myself in a Mcdonalds or similar fast food restaurant’.

Thanks very much for the travel tips. They’ll come in useful.
On a slightly different subject, if I find myself in a Mcdonalds or similar fast food restaurant, how do I say plain hamburger in French?

Thanks for the replys! I’ll definitley have to get myself there. I hope the WW2 planes are on show, as they are my main reason for going, but I’m sure the rest of the collection won’t disappoint.
