    Not bad for a 3 day notification from charter to moving the aircraft. Luckily the Antonov was due in Goose to offload cargo and was due to fly empty to New Richmond to pick up another load:cool:

    Thought it was well organised to do a move like that. hats off to them and the crew for finding the wood to load it! lucky there was no UK H and S around!:diablo:

    Heard a rumour that one could be going to Duxford…

    Lucky Duxford and Cosford will take one each, at least we will have an AFRES Air force Reserve in the UK:D:D

    All they need now is ANG sqns to support Britains misery:diablo:

    If the A330 had entered service when it shoud have they woud not have had to disband 10 SQN in the first place:diablo::D:D

    I watched emergency bikers on channel 5 last night and they showed one being moved out of Lyneham by road. 🙁

    Super photos;) anyone got photos of RAF Catterick around 82/83? I can remember a Hastings, Victor and Vulcan and Canberras and other bits and pieces:confused: around the airfield.

    I can remember at Lyneham in the 80,s Vampire engines with the snowplough /de-icing the runways set up:cool:. but they stopped using them cos it melted the tarmac:diablo:

    Yep you are right, I was based at Lyneham in the 80,s and quite often they just sprayed up an area after repairs/refits. the black number and lettering was started about 1984
