    Countryfile is on now (is something to wach while waiting for Top Gear).

    From the brief clip at the begining it looks like they are at the RB-29 site. Incedentally I am going to the site soon so should be interesting.

    I started the watching thinking the lucky ba…rd, Spitfire, Typhoon, now the U2.

    Now all I can think is I want to got there. The aircraft pales into insignificance compared to that view. It must be just amazing.

    Now my ambition of one day flying at twice the speed of sound off the coast of South Africa now has a trip up there added to it.

    ps. dont forget the BBC4 show on now.

    Is XH558 moving ? Is Finningley realy a realistic option ?

    Does anybody know what/where the event is Doncaster XH558 is due to attend 21 September.

    I am planning to take my girlfriend to Waddington to show her what all the fuss is about when it comes to the Vulcan.

    My remark was a little off the cuff, and I hoped to spark some debate on the subject wich you have now coverd.

    On the subject of Lancaster sections, I was under the impression you had a Lancaster centre section with your project (please post updates) so thank you for dispelling that. What do you have ? The other section you mentioned is a rear section at Aeroventure (Doncaster) not far from Sandtoft.

    The Halifax composite is at ELVington. I should note here I would`nt have the first clue where any where is in Australia never mind be able to spell it.

    VX927 please do not be offended. I look forward to seeing your aircraft and hopefully you at Waddington.
    Do you know anything about the strange looking Auster at waddington last year. It had an unusual cowling so I guess a non standard engine.

    Im not driving so its a case of `get where you can` for me.
    I dont know if you live near me but CAB travel in Goole are doing a good deal for the coach trip. Not many places you can have a full day out including travel for twenty nine pounds.
    And the Vulcan will be there so I will be.
