The reason I asked is I was talking to some one at an auction in Gainsborough who said (friend of a friend blah blah, I know) he knew some body who found a spitfire when plowing a field. The aircraft was taken to a local museum and the farmer still has a propeller on his living room wall. I was told Sandtoft area.

Thank you for sharing Mark12, I saw these aircraft for the first time a few months ago and they are still amazing to see for the first time.
It was the first time I had seen Bf110 and Ju 88, I think we are pretty lucky somebody saved them for us.
