I too will be intrested to hear about the Breighton crash.

Yorkie you could try asking Davski, who is often on this site. He knows all things Breighton.

    Thats a fantastic model CT.
I love the new RAF markings.
And this is not a critisism (I cant build an airfix kit) The cockpit glazing is so clear I think you need crew in there.
    Please keep us updated.

How do you know what you saw was high and fast instead of lower and slower

I guess when you see an object travel from one horizon to the other you can make quite a good jugement on speed.

Thank you for your replys. I have seen the information you refer to. But I have also seen that there was some understanding of the effect the swept wing was having on commpresability on the leading edges.

I heard the swept wing was sketched on a napkin in 1936 but the design also had a swep prop 😮

[QUOTE=oldscoolboy;1311692]i have only ever seen it once in all my time well me and my other half.it was a strange noise too,a very distant sound, over north york we know we saw something not in any aircraft register book. ive seen aircraft go fast but hell not this fast dohnuts at a angle of id say 80deg

I have to agree with you. I have seen very fast lights in the sky over yorkshire. I meen faster than any Known aircraft. Very high, its like a pulsing glow. Its hard to describe because it feels like its gone before you have chance to process what your seeing. There are others on this forum who have seen it.

And yes they are probably mad too.
