Thank you Trumper. We maybe thinking along the same lines here. A contribution to Sally B would be a worthy cause and may bring a few people on side. Also maybe there could be some support from Key publishing, with the forum being so involved with the project. I will take your advice and start another tread asking for help with the project. I will make a start with information I have. And maybe tangible evidence of progress will bring more people on board.

Thank you to you too B-17 Man. I would be greatfull for any help.

Hi Trumper. I have been looking through all the Belle threads over the last couple of days. I would like to give it a go. Your right about the amount of information available on the forum. It is almost endless and I`m sure with the thread back at the top more will be added.

The problem is would people be willing to give up there recolections and photogtaphs for a profit making book (how ever small that profit would be). Would people like to help or would I be in for an `Ollie` style bashing.

I am willing and have a few ideas already. Is the support out there ?

    Cheers.

    Ben

And just incase some one is looking here for the first time. Any new pics.

I think its a phase we all go through. I will never forget the dummie floating past the window in the u-boat room at Eden camp and The dummies in Montys caravan at Beverly army transport museum. I found that my dad saying we could not go any where soon solved my problem:o

Loud explosion about 12.10 today. I am not far away but I had a phone call from some one in the centre of Howden. This thing realy went with a bang.

As I understand it (from the Goole Times) the gentleman who found the bomb is also responsible for the memorial to the lost airmen at this site. He is a local resident so I am sure had permision to be there.

If by chance any one knows the man who was searching this site. Please get in touch. I would be very intrested in helping out

I have also seen a couple of E 3 Sentry recently. From Goole they looked to be lining up for Robin Hood airport. Can anyone confirm. Also in last few weeks lots of Hercs, Apache, Chinook, hawks, Tornados. A few Typoons, F15`s. One Globemaster (very rare). And the only historic, Harvard heading towards Breighton a few days ago.

    Not sure ????

I have seen a small twin engined aircraft over goole (East yorks) today. Sounded fantastic. Like a formation of Harvards going over. But this aircraft had a single verticle stabiliser, so not what I thought it was. Any ideas ?

Having watched this thread and the news all day I thought I would eventually find the words. But still I can only add my condolences to every one involved.

I dont realy want to get into this debate but… The quarry in question was a limestone quarry. I would imagine this to be about as corrosive as it gets.
But I could be wrong 🙂
By the way. If you want a Hunter (and dont want to get wet) go to Hull.
    Cheers.

Hi all. I still have a few pics of the T8 on my phone. If some one has the technology to put them on to the computer I would be happy to send them.
    Cheers.
