    And climbing back out…

At least I think so. This picture is from a collection of shuttleworth pics I recently bought. If this is taken at the same event I could now have a date for my pics

I have just been reading about Buccaneers taking part in Red Flag exercises ( you can keep your putnams. my latest book cost 20p in a charity shop). Anyway the book mentions a desert camoflage scheme but only shows a black and white picture. Does anybody have a colour pic of this scheme.

Yes it is a Lanc bombdoor. They also have a lot other wwll aircraft parts in the main hanger, B17,Spitfire ect. The aircraft parts are all in individual displays with lots of information and history.

They also have a Harvard restoration project. Wich I did take pics of but they seem to have dissapeared with out trace.

I just think with a little ( or maybe a lot) of effort it could be restored to static. Would be grate for a small museum that does not have a lot of money but needs an aircraft to draw people in. Or it could be used by a technical college to study build techniques or even how to treat corrosion. If I had the money I know I would at least be intrested.
Go ahead shoot me down in flames I dont care. Maybe I`m just as daft as the guy at Blackpool.

Is it that bad. With a few new panels and a lick of paint It could look ok.

They get upset if you call it a Dakota! Did not go in today but have been in before. I think it had quite a few instruments in but no VIP interior. The aircraft was once fiited with bunk beds, galley, bar ect. It was used by Ford in Argentina, and some people say it was the most luxurious DC 3 ever made.
Last time I looked inside it did have some para seats wich they wont part with for love nor money.
The plan is to restore it as a BOAC aircraft wich flew from RAF Doncaster.

Have you seen the Harrier instrument panel on ebay. I think there are few instruments as well.
