    Good point – anyone remember that documentry about recovering the P38 for the ice? And what happened when they test fired ONE of the guns? Spectacular!

    Hi webpilot. I should have made it more clear. I was refering to the people who thought it was a good idea to use 60 year old weapons and ammo. A bad idea at the best of times but when its been in ice (corroded, crushed) just stupid.

    Hi Snapper. The first train from York is 9.00 am which would get me to Cambridge for 12.30. I would miss the service and would not have long at the museum.

    Just seen a five second clip of a Dak over London on ITV news. It looked fantastic. Were there two Dakota`s used for the poppy drop? Would like to have seen a longer clip but i guess it was not the only thing to happen today.

    I think I`ll call in again this weekend. The problem with photographing the Lincoln and B-25 is they are at the side of an active runway. When I last visited I got a lift to the far end of the runway in the fire truck (land rover). My visit was brief and escorted. Is there any one on this forum who is involved or knows of some one who could get me more accsess.

    Hi. have you tryd Sandtoft Lincs. I have seen two dismantled Piston provost near the hanger. There are pics on another thread about Sandtoft. If you want to see them search for `benyboys sandtoft pics`. It was started by moggy.

    my spelling and grammer is the reason i stack boxes for a living. Its my girlfriend who`s in media. Just trying to help. maybe your classes at school did not have about 40 kids and half that amount of books.
