the windows are not that small. the only problem i had (me being 5 ft nothing) is not being able to see over the instrument pannel.
is this an open invitation. i dont know anybody here but would love to go.
what do we think would be the best groups to take on these airframes should they become available. and what is the value of these aircraft ?
i`m just thinking out loud. what about a large group with sub groups in different areas. i dont know its late. i dont make sense when i`m wide awake so dont listen to me now,
see your point but what about the idea.
dont shoot me down i`m just a dreamer.
what if the forum could put together and buy this vulcan. it would be physical proof of the national and international co-operation in aircraft preservation that we talk about needing all the time. i`m new on here. but i can see this is already a close nit comunity capable of great things. i understand that many members have comitments already and also this is not the best project but maybe its an idea for the future.
any way i`m just a dreamer and this is what we do.

just got a reply to question about buying the cockpit. quite a simple reply.
“buy it. take the cockpit. leave the rest”
would you pay £6000 for an empty rotten cockpit + the fine to enviromental agency
just a thought i`ll take it back before i get sued.
that does sound good. whats the voucher for ?
i contacted the seller and told him i genuinley i wished him luck and hoped it sold.
but then i asked him what i thought was quite a sensible and realistic question.
in the event of no sale would he sell me the cockpit.
no reply.
i know you cant save every thing but… surely something can be done. would be nice to have one in yorkshire. we did have vulcans at finningley. elvington were willing to take on a beverly. maybe they could take this on. wish i had the money. (it would make a great car port)
is it actually possible to take a vulcan apart. i meen in away that it will go back together. i have never seen or heard of it. i have seen it done with the not so delicate touch of a JCB
