Great event and a fantastic airfield. I can see me making a few visits over the year.
Oh and the warmest hangar I have ever been in 🙂
Some great pics of the restoration etc. here – https://www.facebook.com/pages/Me109-Black-6/352717801421301
I can too Bob. I also remember somebody stood near me saying ” does`nt it sound fantastic” and thinking, no it does not.
I was waiting to go flying for the first time at the end of the show. I did get that Rapide flight a year later.
I cant wait to see the 109E but nothing will ever compare to Black 6 for me.
I remember when JetArt were selling coffee tables etc in the rain (as always) at Elvington Airshows, now they have all these lovely aeroplanes on my doorstep !
I`m hoping to see the`Balderton Lightning`, B-17 and Wyvern next year.
Wow ! Well lit, well set out, no barriers, fantastic exhibits, what more could you ask for.
Thank you for sharing.
Ben
If anybody can spot TO in the photo, we could date it from the length and shade of his beard.
If you peruse this month’s issue of Flypast, you may well a-spy a certain V-bomber lurking within, as well as the Buccaneer and Nimrod…
Experimenting with modesty ??? 😉
I will be having one of these this week. Thank you for letting us know 🙂
Shame on me.
Thats what the Ferrari`s and Lambo`s are for 🙂
A Soviet two seater would be very nice.
I will wait for one to be brought to me 🙂
As long as you are happy 🙂
